When I walked into Golden Hill Homes, I immediately knew that this was where I wanted my mom to be. The home has an overall really good and cozy feeling. When my husband toured he said if he ever had to be in a board and care/ assisted living home, this is where he'd want to be. Golden Hill Homes is like home. There are always good smells coming from the kitchen where balanced and inviting meals are prepared and upbeat music is playing. It is kept impeccably clean and the whole property is well maintained. The staff are energetic, happy, engaging, and attentive, always making sure the resident's needs are met. They pay attention to all details, even the smallest ones. I cannot say enough about the care they give and they truly do care. It shows in everything they do. Fathma (the owner) is amazing and is very involved in the day to day happenings. She has excellent communication and keeps you updated on your loved one. I cannot say enough about Golden Hill Homes. I could go on and on. If they happen to have an opening when you or your loved one is in need, I would not hesitate and consider yourself lucky, you will not find better.

I had been looking for a board-and-care for my mom for several months but had seen nothing I felt good about. Then I walked into Golden Hill Homes, and I knew it was a special place. The home itself is exactly that, a cozy home filled with love. The caregivers are all so patient and caring, they customize the care to each resident and make them feel just like family. Fathma (the owner) is there a lot and makes sure everyone is well cared for. She brings in staff to accommodate what the current residents need/want. From Bingo to art lessons, hairdressers, nail specialists, and birthday parties - Fathma has a wonderful sense of what her family of residents need. Fathma always let me know how my mom was doing and what she needed. She helped me coordinate Hospice and was a second set of eyes to make sure my mom got the care she needed. And the caregivers are amazing! Mel and Leny are so sweet. They are always checking to make sure residents are comfortable and feel loved and well cared for. The house is always spotlessly clean and tidy, making it feel like your own home only better! My mom was a very picky eater, and I was worried as she had no appetite and had slowed down on her eating. Mel would try different things (at the same meal!) to try and get her to eat more. My mom started to enjoy food again and began eating more of the GHH delicious home-cooked meals. The staff not only were amazing to my mom but also to my brother and me. They adopted us as members of the GHH family and did everything they could to help us, especially in the last few weeks of my mother's life. I highly recommend Golden Hill Homes, as a wonderful place for loved ones- filled with kindness and compassionate care.
