GOLDEN POND COMMUNITIES

I am so pleased with Golden Pond Community at Winter Garden. My father-in-law moved in to his "new home" in December of 2025 after living at Inspired Living in Ocoee for a year. The renovations are wonderful; his unit is perfectly sized for him and his sweet dog (love that they are pet friendly!). The staff is so kind and considerate. Bonnie takes great care of all the residents as Director of Nursing; I've seen her paying special attention to each person in residence. Chefs Jorge and Carlos try really hard to adapt the menu to cater to my father in law's VERY PICKY eating habits. I'm grateful for their dedication to his nutrition. Sharon, Resident Director, is responsive and helpful - the moving in process was seamless. My father-in-law had a fall (he's OK!) and Teri and Betty were incredibly fast to help him and clean up and be very supportive as he recovered. Dennis and Trevia at the front desk are always so kind and welcoming. I really don't have anything bad to say at all about this establishment except that there's still not too many folks living there. But that will come in time; this place is too lovely not to attract new residents. It's as reasonably priced as can be expected for a quality assisted living facility.

From the very beginning, your warmth, compassion, and professionalism have meant the world to us. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of her each and every day. It’s clear that the staff truly cares about the residents — keeping them engaged, active, and happy. I just wanna begin with this journey that started 2 1/2 years ago. Thank you so much to Gretchen who was there every step of the way. Guiding me and this year helping me transition my mother-in-law into the Golden Pond Communities. It first began a couple of years ago to take the step so that both of my in-laws could transition into this facility. Although the decision at the time was not made to move them here, the decision was made to move my mother-in-law in since the passing of my father-in-law. Gretchen couldn't be more helpful more understanding, more caring. She’s always been there for me. It’s been a journey, but I wouldn’t have been able to do it without her. Thank you Gretchen so much for making this journey as seamless as possible. I would like to add that at the beginning of this year, in February, we did move my mother-in-law and myself into the independent living part of the Golden Pond communities, which is the Crossings of Golden Pond. It was a wonderful experience. My mother-in-law needed to be moved to an assisted living facility. Sadly we had to move her somewhere else. As soon as Gretchen contacted me that the Golden Pond Communities assisted living facility finally opened, we were the first one to sign up and one of the first ones to move in. We are so thankful that the community finally opened their doors.

The Golden Pond facilities are absolutely beautiful. Gretchen and the entire staff are so compassionate and truly care about the residents, their families, and the entire Winter Garden community. It’s so nice to have such amazing living options for seniors so close to the downtown area.

Gretchen is the sweetest and most helpful soul. From the moment I first met her in April she felt like family. She helped me tremendously navigate getting my mom an apartment again which was so nerve racking! She made it so much more simple and attainable. She took so much time to help me get everything worked out swiftly! Now that we are moving mom over to the assisted living side of the complex she has once again been my rock and has helped me navigate more stressful decisions. She is always available to help with my concerns and questions. She never rushes me and makes me feel truly cared for and important. I absolutely adore her!
