GOOD SAMARITAN RETIREMENT HOME

My Mother-in-law resides at the Good Samaritan and is really thriving there! She's a very particular person and the staff has more than met her needs. The facility is very nice inside and out. The staff is very attentive and they really get to know the residents. The food is good and very nutritious. I couldn't think of a better place for her.

This place has been incredible for my mom. They are very accommodating with our requests and the staff is very caring. The meals are prepared by a chef and are tasty and nutritious. They offer residents several daily activities which include Sit and Stretch classes, Bingo, Ice Cream Socials, Movie Night, Sing-a-longs and more. We are happy that our mom is in a safe and caring environment and that she is still close to home where we can visit her or pick her up to take her on outings.

My mom, Carmela, was a resident of Good Samaritan Retirement Center from March 4, 2013, until March 31st, 2018, when the Lord called her home to Heaven. My mom was very blessed by all the compassionate and loving care she received from all the staff at Good Samaritan. The "angel" caregivers and medical staff tended to her daily with a kindness and commitment that was truly a great blessing to my mom, as well as myself, her daughter. The activities staff, dining staff, housekeeping staff and maintenance staff were likewise, all there to meet my mom's needs. Administrators Sister Alexandra and Susan Sorensen, and Nurse Kim were always committed to offering the best care for my mom, along with their wise advice and guidance during my mom's 5 year stay at Good Samaritan. Good Samaritan is a place where the love, care and excellent skills of the staff helped my Mom and all the residents with equal effort and compassion. It is a very lovely, clean and well maintained place that was my Mom's home. I will always be thankful to all the Staff of Good Samaritan who attended to my mom as if she were their very own. I highly recommend Good Samaritan Retirement Center to all who are seeking a safe and loving haven for their loved one. May God Bless you All!

My 97-year-old mother moved here several months ago, and we couldn t be more pleased. The facility is beautiful: spacious, clean, and very light feeling in the rooms and in the common areas. We like the fact that the size is modest, with a capacity of around 55 residents, rather than a huge semi-industrial complex. The caregivers have been very kind and thoughtful, and there are lots of activities to keep people busy. We recommend Good Samaritan highly.

Excellent Care for Dad. From our personal experience the Good Samaritan Retirement Center is one of the best values among assisted living facilities in the San Diego area! After many months of searching for an affordable nursing home for my 91 year old father, my wife and I were very lucky to find this wonderful and caring senior community near our residence in Rancho San Diego. What impressed us the most was the excellent staff that provided loving personal care for my dad. For our family we had peace of mind knowing first hand that my father felt very much at home at the Good Samaritan. He absolutely loved his room accomodations, the peaceful serenity of the grounds, and the everyday activities and special events he shared with other residents. He also loved the food and talking with other WWII veterans at his dining table. As a retired pharmacist I also felt very comfortable communicating with the excellent nursing staff who managed my father's medications. Every aspect of my dad's assisted care exceeded our expectations. We are at peace now knowing that my dad spent the final days of his life in a beautiful and spiritual place.
