GOOD SHEPARDS OF DELAND-WEST (THE)

Ramon and staff mean the world to us. My Momma went there a week before Thanksgiving & we wouldn't have it any other way. Were trying to get her on Medicaid and even if we cant we 3 girls will figuare out how to keep her there. The staff is spot on professional but full of agape love like there family to them. I will continue to volunteer or do what I can for my Momma and the other 8 residents. Tia for all you all do and doing. I would give a 10 plus if I could Ramon.

This was the absolutely best care for my mother before she passed away - the staff is friendly, kind, caring, HONEST and they provide excellent care. My mother was a resident there for 2 years + and both she and I loved it there. A nice family type atmosphere, very clean, spacious; visitors are allowed to visit anytime. I might also mention that it is MUCH more reasonable than most retirement or nursing homes in the area, such as Brookdale, and they provide the same services. I recommend this ALF to anyone looking for excellent, HONEST care at a decent cost. It was truly a blessing to have had my mother cared for by them. I will never forget everything they did for her.

We placed my mom in Good Shepherd Deland several years ago and couldn't be happier with the care she receives there. The atmosphere is very homey and the rooms are comfortable and very 'real' bedrooms. They have family style dining and the food is good; healthy meals served 3 times a day. The property is lovely with a butterfly garden and a walking path. They decorate and celebrate all holidays and individual birthdays and make it fun for the residents and families. Families are encouraged to visit and share in celebrations with their loved ones. The staff is knowledgable and communicates with us on progresses or areas of concern with my mom. They always engage with the residents and are kind and caring. The director communicates with us regularly and keeps us up to date. During these past months with COVID, they have gone above and beyond putting precautions into place to keep the residents safe. I am so very thankful for Good Shepherd and their staff, and would highly recommend checking them out.
