As soon as you walk inside the doors you are greeted. My mom lived at Good Shepherd Nursing Home for over two years. The staff became her extended family sharing fun and laughter. Teamwork is truly the core of this care team. For their residents and residents families they are willing to listen and go beyond to make all cared for and safe in their home away from home. Good Shepherd Home provided exemplary care for our mother. The staff is compassionate, caring, and treat the residents with dignity and respect. We searched many facilities and this by far was the best-both in terms of staff and the facility itself.

The covid protocols are ridiculous. I followed the rules and called to make an appointment to visit my dad. I went for the visit and they weren't going to let me in as there was no record I had called. They finally allowed me to visit. My dad is there for rehab, after an hour of visiting he was stiff and wanted to walk around. We walked down the hallway and were reprimanded for leaving his room. We will be bringing him home asap. I have been vaccinated and boosted and passed a rapid test at the door. I don't mind following rules but if you make a rule follow through with it, such as making a note of my appointment.
