Grace Assisted Living At State Street

Many of the CNAs and workers at Grace are dedicated and very caring. You can tell they take pride in the service they give and love the patients. Some however were less so. We encountered a number of problems in my father’s care, but I think most of them stemmed from lack of communication between management and staff and between staff at shift changes. Knowledge on recent care and medication updates would get lost and hard to resolve until the next day. I also felt that some of the Med Techs were not as informed as I expected. All that said, I don’t want to take away from the many workers that were fantastic and tried their best to give good care, even when our situation was difficult to handle.

May 1, 2024 I had to move my mom from another facility that was possibly closing to Grace on State Street. This was the best move I ever made for my mom.. This facility has better food service, better caregivers, better, communication, and just better all around. Mom is so happy here, she says it reminds her of Home except she doesn’t have the chores, her food, laundry, and cleaning are all taken care of by the care providers. We also doctor through Grace. Mom sees a doctor regularly or as needed and we are thankful for that. If you are currently looking for an assisted living for a loved one I highly recommend Grace on State Street.

When my 90-year-old mother finally requested to move into assisted living, she chose this Grace location because it was within walking distance of the house she lived in for over 20 years. She had visited a friend who lived there and liked what she saw. The staff has been amazing: responsive, sensitive to individual needs, supportive of the entire process. This is very important to me because I am a retired Nurse Case Manager. Grace on State is a beautiful campus, easy to get to, and well maintained. The residents have lots of room to move about, snacks and beverages are always available, and the prepared meals are delicious and nutritious. The ongoing care for my mother keeps her busy throughout the day at a level she feels comfortable. The staff looks after her medical needs, including transportation to and from doctor appointments. She enjoys the frequent outings. Instead of putting my mother into a rest home where she can sit in a rocker and live out the rest of her days, I feel like we've introduced her to the next chapter of her active life at Grace on State in Boise.

My 93 year old father moved into Grace in January 2023. His experience there has been great! The staff cares for him and certainly makes him feel safe and cared for. He has options for social interaction that he occasionally does. The facility is well appointed, clean, and the staff is terrific. Dad is very happy there and knowing he is well taken care of makes my life so much easier since I do not have to worry about him. Thank you to all of you!

There isn't another Assisted Living Facility in the valley that compares to Grace! My Mom has been living there since June, and my sister and I were so pleased to hear the different activities that the residents can participate in. Grace provides more unique activities, like floral arrangement class, movie night, hula dancing classes, and much more. Besides the excellent food, the residents also have access to a full salad bar and an ice cream machine. My Mom is always boasting about how amazing the staff is and all of the fun activities they have! The Grace employees even remembered her recent birthday and had a beautiful celebration for her. Thank you Grace for taking such wonderful care of my Mom!
