My mom has been at Grace Manor for more than three years. She loves it there and feels like it’s home. The workers are friendly and helpful. The staff is dedicated. Alzheimer’s is a terrible and challenging disease. Residents without memory and logic are difficult to manage and require much patience, practice, and care. In fact, it’s more than most of us can provide. For my family, even taking care of a single, small, fragile person (my mom) was too much for us. We couldn’t provide the safety, routine, dietary requirements, and social interaction that she needed. Grace Manor gives us all of that. Have there been “ups and downs?” Yes. Have there been issues to deal with? Yes. Let’s be real here. Are there days when I wish her room was cleaner? Occasionally. Are there times when I wish there were more staff members to go around? Sometimes. Do I wish it was less expensive? Of course. But elder care of any kind is costly. It can be a hassle and a lot of paperwork for those who need financial assistance in order to live in a care facility. Again, let’s be realistic. Is there anything in life that’s perfect? No. Excellence doesn’t mean perfection. Our relationship with Grace Manor is a partnership, working together for the best benefit of my mom. We have come to appreciate Grace Manor at Lake Morton, its employees, and care. My mom has thrived there. This has freed me to be her friend rather than her micro-manager, “parent,” protector, and provider. Some “balance” has been restored to our lives. It has given me back valuable rest, focus, and time to spend at work, in ministry, with our kids and grandkids, and . . . with my mom.

If you are looking to send your grandmother here or grandfather I do not recommend the food they feed their patients Looks like dog food and is always cold. The people they hire have no experience besides a level two background check and a online CPR card. None of them are aware of cross contamination, which happens very often. Patients are not showered every day as they should be all around. This is a very dirty facility and a bunch a cross-contamination going on and uneducated people working there. The cost of living there is 5k a month and they pay there employees 15$ a hour to take care of a total of 20 patients a day some times. And the manager has zero respect for employees!!! Or family.

I moved my mother into Grace Manor at Lake Morton about five months ago from another well known assisted living center in Lakeland. I was concerned at first that the facility was small and her living quarters would be smaller as well. I am so pleased to tell you that it has been exactly what mom needed! Looking back I believe that mom was overwhelmed by the large spaces and numerous choices. Having dementia and needing to make so many choices for herself was proving to be a huge daily challenge. The staff have been amazing at making her feel at home. The schedule is the same each day and mom has thrived in that environment. Different activities keep their interest and Frannie is amazing as the activities director. Home cooked meals are served at set times and everyone eats together like a family. Mom loves that! She wasn't eating before because she could order from a menu and there were too many choices for her to make. The facility is clean and never smells. The staff is calm and attentive. The wellness director, Ana, is quick to respond to my text messages and is always helpful. I can call the resident line anytime and speak to my mom when I can't drop by for a visit. Danielle was wonderful to coordinate with me all the details of the move into the facility. Mom's room is always clean, neat and she loves it more than I expected. If you are looking for a place to move your loved one that feels like an extension of your home I would highly recommend Grace Manor.

I want to give a huge note of appreciation to Grace Manor Memory Care and their amazing staff and excellent facility. This has been probably the hardest event of our lives (my family) and through their Honesty, Understanding, and Goodwill they afforded us is unsurpassed especially dealing with a loved ones move to memory care. Not only have the facility and staff far exceeded expectations, but they have gone above and beyond to ensure my moms smooths and painless transition. Danielle Clinton (Family Adviser) who we worked so closely with was phenomenal during the entire process from touring, getting setup, to move in and beyond through to today. Also, Anna (Nurse), Tina (Director) and all the other team members are equally talented professionals who are all so nice and extremely helpful. In fact, today during a visit my mother told me that she loved her new apartment at Grace Manor and that she loved all the activities and things to keep her busy. The great thing is that you see the happiness on her face and in her voice. This is an amazing facility and one that that I want to personally recommend.

Danielle and the rest of the staff have been incredible during the transition of moving my mom from assisted living into memory care. They are patient with us and literally have made this experience so easy for us. My mom loves spending time with her friends and it’s so great to see her active with the other residence. We are very grateful for Grace Manor!
