My 89 year old mother was on hospice at home for a week before we realized her condition was so medically complex; we weren't able to provide the skilled care she needed, even with caregivers coming several hours a day to assist. The thought of having to put her in a skilled facility as a hospice patient was terrifying. We found Janet at Graceful Cottage Living and it turned out to be the absolute best fit for mom. The facility is new, small and impeccably clean. Janet and her staff were all incredibly kind and attentive, providing very personalized one on one care. Mom spent about three weeks at Graceful Cottage Living before she passed away. During her time there, mom was always clean, comfortable and groomed. Janet coordinated everything daily through our hospice provider, helping to eliminate a lot of stress and worry for our family. Janet was always responsive to give updates when I wasn't able to be at the facility. I felt comfortable knowing my mom was safe, well taken care of and provided with the utmost dignity during her last weeks of life.
