The care that they gave my 99 year old mother was excellent. She had several unique needs which the staff constantly worked with me on to take care of in the best ways. They were very professional, caring and loving. They keep the facility and residents very clean and well taken care of. I especially liked their approach of keeping the residents together throughout the day and engaged with many group activities. It was always heart warming to hear my mother and individual care givers saying “I Love You” to each other which was frequent. They truly treat the residents like family members. I highly recommend them.

I’ve been a CNA for 15 years, licensed with the state of Texas and I have never experienced/visited/worked in a facility like this one. I’ve also had a grandmother in memory care. Honestly, with all my experience in various settings, I have never seen such incredibly caring people ALL working together in such harmony. I just can’t stop thinking about it. From the staff dancing(professionally) with the residents who probably thought no one would ever dance with them again, to even the kitchen cheering residents on for finishing their meals.(“awesome clear your plate delicious meals”might I add)Every employee knew the mission. Every residents every need was somehow met. They all are very very good at what they do. The best I’ve ever seen. I would absolutely trust this facility with my loved ones -no question.

My mom is a new resident at Grand Brook in Allen. Director Jeanine was a huge help in facilitating my mom’s move and had everything ready to go upon her arrival. I have been especially moved by the one-on-one care my mom has received from Alina during the day and Amina at night. Working with elderly residents requires a special touch and both of these women have treated my mom with great care and respect.

My mom was at another highly-regarded memory care center for 2.5 years prior to her transfer to Grand Brook. My dad and I thought that things were *ok* at the other place, but the difference in my mom since the move to Grand Brook Twin Creeks has been HUGE. My mom has (what I think is) Frontotemporal Dementia, and the staff has been AMAZING with her. Not only do they take excellent care of my mom…but they also involve my mom in daily activities. The staff have figured out how to get my mom out of her room, and that is NO small feat! They are so well-trained in how they relate to and support their residents and families. They have even taught me quite a few things (and I have professional experience of my own working with brain-injured patients!) . They know my mom and love her, which is SO wonderful to see. My father passed away quickly and unexpectedly less than 2 weeks ago, and the Grand Brook family has been a wonderful source of support in my time of major need. I’m fact, Jeanine involved my mom in a FaceTime call to ensure that my dad could have one last conversation with my mom prior to his passing. When I say amazing, I mean it! Jeanine, Alicia….everyone at Grand Brook is top-notch! Daily activities, good meals, family functions, comfortable furnishings, kindness, expertise, and more… My only regret is not moving my mom into Grand Brook sooner.

What a beautiful facility in the heart of Allen. I met with Jeanine and had a tour of their facility, as I was looking for a place for my mom who has Lewy Body Dementia. Jeanine spent so much time with me, answering my questions, explaining their care philosophies, and reassuring me of our family's decision to place my mom in a safer environment. She recommended the book, "Creating Moments of Joy" by Jolene Brackey. What an incredible resource. I sent one to my dad and sister and we all said we wished we had this information 10 years ago. I will be forever grateful for Jeanine for her recommendation. So I digress...Grand Brook was a beautifully decorated warm environment. I especially liked that they do not segregate the residents based on the severity of the disease process. They are all living together and engaged with staff and some with each other. I could tell the staff really enjoyed the residents. Although, my dad has decided to place my mom in a memory care unit in Florida, near my sister, if he would have picked Texas, Grand Brook would have been our preference. Make an appointment today...you won't be disappointed.
