I previously had my husband at another facility, and unfortunately, he did not do well there. The residents were not closely monitored, and medications were not administered in a timely or structured manner. I toured many places in Fort Worth, Colleyville, and Southlake before making a decision. When I visited Grand Brook Memory Care, I immediately noticed how happy the residents seemed and how clean the facility was. It felt welcoming and well cared for, and there was none of the unpleasant odor you sometimes find in senior living communities. The caregivers there are truly angels on earth. They are so kind and compassionate with both the residents and their families. My husband was younger than most of the residents, so at times he could be more active and a bit challenging, but they always knew how to handle him with patience and understanding. At Grandbrook in Grapevine the staff and caregivers have been there for many years (5 + years) unlike other memory care facilities which shows stability. Felicia, the cook, is incredibly caring, and her food is delicious. She has been there 20 years. Her partner, Aida, is just as wonderful. Nurse Grace is highly experienced and attentive, and the medical technicians are knowledgeable and compassionate. Precious, Tenisha, and Marian all have amazing attitudes and so much patience. Ruby is energetic and full of life. Every single one of them always knew exactly what to say when our family became emotional. The staff and caregivers truly make all the difference in the world. I cannot say enough good things about Grandbrook!

I had to place my wife into dementia care about 3 years ago. I thought that a large skilled nursing facility in Fort Worth would be best for her. I was very disappointed in the level of care they gave my wife and other residents. I decided to move my wife to a different memory care community and visited 15 different places. Grand Brook stood out as the best place for my wife. I am so thankful that I was led to Grand Brook of Grapevine to care for my wife. It is a warm, safe and peaceful home-like environment that provides compassionate care and love for the residents. My wife was there almost two years, and I was thankful the entire time that the Grand Brook team was caring for her until her passing. Everyone from the executive director, life-enrichment manager, culinary manager and team, nursing, med techs, maintenance, housekeeping and caregivers are dedicated to caring and providing for all of the residents. They are welcoming and care for the loved ones of the residents also. It is a small community, and I believe that is the main reason for their effective caregiving. Their caregiver staffing level is sufficient to cover the needs of the residents, and they do not hire temporary caregivers from agencies to fill in. That allows the caregivers to really get to know each resident and their individual needs. A lot of the staff have been working there for many years. It indicates that it is a well-managed and caring place to work. It is family owned, so it is not subject to ownership changes that occur in many of the corporate owned facilities. If you are looking for a peaceful and safe home-like environment that provides care and love for your loved one, visit Grand Brook at Grapevine.

When I had to make the difficult decision to place my mother in a Memory Care Facility, I toured several communities. The moment I walked into Grand Brook, I knew I had found her new home. The ENTIRE STAFF (everyone’s name deserves to be listed but I don’t want to accidentally leave anyone out) is truly exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. From day one, I didn’t just put my Mother in a memory care facility; we become part of a family. My mother receives wonderful care, enjoys delicious meals (thank you Felicia) engaging and fun activities (you are a rock star Ruby) and she has made a few new friends (sweet Sandra). As family members, we also form our own circle of support, leaning on one another and looking out for each other’s loved ones. I am incredibly grateful for the love and dedication shown here, and I highly recommend Grand Brook to anyone searching for the very best memory care.

I began to wonder if caring for my wife with Alzheimer's at home was safe for her, even with the help of a professional caregiver; however, I just couldn't "send her away" from her home. Her hip fractured and we spent weeks at a Nursing/Rehab where the therapists were unable to rehab her due to her limited cognition. Our home is not handicapped accessible so I was forced to find a place for her. I didn't like the Nursing/Rehab environment and looked for a memory care exclusive facility. After a tour, I found Grand Brook checked all the boxes and moved her there. She arrived in her wheelchair and I engaged our personal caregiver to stay for a transition period. I had been told that these facilities told families not to visit for an initial period so the new resident would more easily accept their new situation. Grand Book is not like that. When I discussed transitioning with the nursing director, she told me right now my wife knows who I am and that we love each other. The disease will take that away, so don't lose this time while we still have it. I asked if I could spend nights with her and they not only allowed that, they proceeded to suggest other ways I could stay involved with her. I couldn't take her home; but they helped me take home to her. My caregiver was with her during the day and excitedly told me she was trying to walk. We both kept encouraging her to walk and in-between our shifts I found the staff was following our lead and was walking with her if we weren't there. Grand Brook has a combination of family-oriented policies and a dedicated, caring staff. My wife is very accepting of life there. Eventually she regained her ability to walk and we've returned the wheelchair. Our caregiver was so impressed with the operations she applied to work there after her regular client hours. I talk with others who have moved their spouse or family member from other facilities to Grand Brook for any number of reasons. My wife and I are very fortunate to have found it right away.

We were so fortunate to find Grand Brook Memory Care Grapevine. After an extensive search to find the right living situation for our relative, Jack, when we walked into Grand Brook, we knew we had found home for Jack. It was like receiving a group hug. The entire staff welcomed him, engaged with him to make sure he would find his new home inviting and safe. No longer was Jack “ in trouble” because of his failing memory and confusion. What a relief for him and us, that he was accepted and cared for. A big thank you to Ariel for gently coaxing Jack into getting up and dressed everyday and to Felicia, for asking what he liked to eat and preparing his favorites for him. Kudos to William, Reba and Grace for making the transition to Grand Brook smooth and easy and for delivering on the promises of care and service. Our family sends our thanks and will continue to highly recommend others to explore Grand Brook.
