My mother moved to Grand Brook in February of 2024 when it became obvious that she could no longer manage to live safely on her own due to her dementia. It was a difficult decision as she was still in excellent physical condition, but as she adjusted to her new home, we knew that we had made the right choice. Throughout the decision-making process, the move, and my mother’s time at Grand Brook up to, and including her death, the entire staff was nothing but helpful and incredibly supportive. They were also very responsive any time we had questions or requested additional help for my mother. Every attempt was made to keep my mother active and engaged for as long as she was able to participate. During our visits, we were impressed by the care and love shown to all the residents. Clearly, working with memory care patients is challenging, but Grand Brook’s staff have a real heart for their residents, and my entire family was pleased with our experience at Grand Brook. Not only do I miss my mother, but I miss the staff, consider them friends, and drop in from time to time to see them. Laurel Steffes

My wife has been a resident of GB Zionville for over 3 months. I had researched memory care facilities in the Zionsville area for nearly a year before selecting GB. GB was clearly the best fit for our situation. It's family founded, run with a dementia management philosophy which closely fit our needs. The facility is small (only 36 beds), focuses totally on memory care, has a compassionate, trained, and professional staff, experienced management with longevity at the facility, designed on 1 level whereby all apartments are very close to the common areas, a high level of security, and treats their residents with dignity and a personal touch. I especially like their emphasis on socialization and varied, daily activities to promote interaction and keeping the mind and body active. My wife, as with most residents, spends minimal time in her apartment, being in the common area involved with someone or something for the majority of the day. Her transition to GB was almost seamless, she's seems quite at ease, her anxiety and other dementia related behaviors have improved, and she just seems happier and comfortable. She still has her "days", but the caregivers and staff are fully capable of handling just about any situation. I am fortunate that I can visit my wife daily, so have personally witnessed how things are really done, at any time of the day, night, or weekend. Their level of caregiving is consistent all the time. I've had experiences with my parents, over 25 years ago, which were quite the opposite of what we're seeing at GB. My whole family and myself feel quite lucky and fortunate to have found GB. As horrible a disease that Alzheimer's is, at least I feel comfortable she's getting the best of care and as such, I can rest at ease when I'm not there.

I was very confident with the care my sister received at Grandbrook, even though I was 2000 miles away. They cared for my sister beyond what I could have ever imagined. Plus, my sister enjoyed being at Grandbrook! Very wonderful people, a cut above the rest!

In March of 2021 my brother and I began a search for our mother for a Memory Care facility. With the help of A Place for Mom we learned about our options in the Zionsville/Carmel area. After visiting 6 separate facilities it was clear to us that Grand Brook Zionsville would be our selection. When we pulled into the parking lot on the day of our visit it was obvious that the facility was well maintained, not to mention beautiful. We met with the facility Sales and Marketing Manager, Mark Wallis, and he took the time to address all our questions as well as give us a tour of the facility. The large private bedrooms, large common areas for residents to gather, and the open concept of the kitchen made a wonderful impression on us that day. We were also introduced to some of the care staff and have found them to be wonderful care providers for all of moms needs. Soon after our visit the staff at Grand Brook helped us to navigate the move and mom became a resident. We could not be happier with Grand Brook and the care they have provided mom. If you are searching for a wonderful facility for your loved one, Grand Brook Zionsville should be at the top of your list!
