GRAND VILLA OF DELAND

I called in early December to ask if I could schedule a visit for the week of Christmas, when I'd be in town to visit my parents, since my father's condition continues to deteriorate and I'm worried about how much longer my mother can care for him. We scheduled an appointment for Dec. 24 at 10:00, but due to last minute scheduling conflicts, I had to call around 8:30 that morning to ask if I could reschedule. The person who answered the phone couldn't reschedule for me but said someone would return my call. No one did. Around 9:30 on Friday, I called back to explain that I'd called to cancel and reschedule on Wednesday morning and again asked to reschedule, hopefully for some time on Friday. After putting me on hold for a few minutes, the person who answered returned to say that the person in charge of such visits wasn't in yet but would return my call later. No one ever returned my calls. That's unfortunate, as my parents live very close to the facility in Deland, and I'd hoped they might work with me, but after this treatment, I don't think I'd trust them to provide care for either of my parents.

This assisted living area is so pretty and clean I definitely recommend living here, I’ve seen Nurse Catherine is definitely a huge help when my grandparents were living there. Definitely the place I recommend and I’ll be telling more of my friends to have their parents come here❤️

We are very pleased with our choice and the care that Thomas is receiving. The place is absolutely beautiful and CLEAN the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Gigi and I are very pleased with the Care that Thomas Hunnicutt is receiving he most definitely is pleased to be at his new home.

The facility itself is beautiful and there seems to be a lot of wonderful activities for the residents to enjoy. Unfortunately those are the only two positives in this facility. The facility and its management staff are clearly more interested in their bottom line than the care and rights of their residents. They allow things to happen to their residents and simply sweep them under the rug without notifying the responsible party. Simply put, if you care about your loved ones physical well being there are much better ALF’s in the immediate area that do offer such care and loving atmosphere.

This place is definitely assisted living at it's best. The atmosphere feels more like an all-inclusive luxury resort. My in-laws moved in yesterday and it was a very special time. The staff was kind, loving and accommodating. We left them very happy. I would recommend Grand Villa of Deland to everyone. Thank you for making it feel like home to all of us.😘♥
