Grandhaven Living Center 2 (Pier)

I’ve been at GrandHaven a couple years now. I find the Facility is clean and well kept both inside and out . The staff is caring and knowledgeable , and attentive to the Residents needs . I’ve seen a variety of events put on that include carnivals, parties , in house, week long events that explore different cultures and cuisines from around the World. The food is excellent here and served with attention to dietary needs and individual taste. It’s a very special place that takes pride in the service that is provided.

We have found the staff to be professional, responsive, kind and courteous with few exceptions. My Mom has found the food to be much better than she expected over the 3 months she has been a resident. The apartments are properly sized and bright.

I would strongly advise against placing a loved one in this facility. The staff here are consistently rude and unprofessional, showing little respect or compassion for the residents. We've witnessed multiple instances of staff withholding medication and delivering verbal lashings to residents. When we brought these issues up with management, they assured us that changes would be made, but nothing has improved. On top of that, the food is of poor quality, often served cold and late to residents who don’t eat in the dining room. This place is not a safe or caring environment, and management seems uninterested in making any meaningful improvements. Please think twice before considering this facility.

I was very impressed with all that the Grandhaven memory care facility has to offer, especially the lovely rooms with a large sunny window and window seat, caring staff, beautiful grounds with a sidewalk path, and their unique 'neighborhood' concept of the resident's apartments. Most of all, their 'community advisor' and dementia specialist, Olivia, was extremely knowledgeable, kind, accommodating, and genuinely interested in helping me make the best decision for my mother. I would highly recommend that anyone searching for a quality memory care facility, consider Grandhaven.

My 97 year old father lives in Assisted Living in Grandhaven - he receives the best care of any place he has lived. The meal choices are varied & tasty, the staff is considerate & mindful of each person's preferences & needs. You couldn't make a better choice than Grandhaven for your loved one.
