Granny's Delight is a wonderful place for family. Ginger is a great caregiver, she is kind and caring and knowledgeable. Ginger goes above and beyond to give the best possible environment and quality of living to her residents. My mother was there for two and half months before her passing. My mother was at the end of her life and Ginger made sure those few months were comfortable and happy. My mother passed peacefully and happy in the care of Granny's Delight. If you need a kind and caring place for a family member, Granny's Delight is a great choice.

A neighbor of ours knew that we might be looking for a new living arrangement for our Mom and gave me this tip. Located only 5 miles away from our home, we hadn't heard of this facility previously even though they've been in operation for quite a number of years. I believe that any advertising is done by word of mouth. I called the number around 10:20 in the morning and left a voice message. I received a return call only moments later by Ginger, the owner. I asked a few questions about availability and she asked a few questions about mom's condition and needs. She did not have any immediate availabilities, but I liked what I heard. Being that my wife and I were already out in the car, and about 4 minutes away from the property I asked that we might just drive past and look at the outside. Ginger described the location so we wouldn't pass it by, and invited us to stop in. Bear in mind, this was now 10:30 AM on a Sunday and with only a few moments advance notice. We were warmly greeted by Ginger, a person who we immediately perceived as being genuine and caring and sensed that she takes great pride in what she does...which is owning the home and personally caring for her residents. We noted that the home was at a comfortable temperature, was quiet, orderly, and looked and smelled clean. The 4 residents appeared to be well-groomed, clean and looking comfortably content. One was just finishing his breakfast, the others had already had been fed. My wife and I toured and asked questions for 25 minutes. We learned that Ginger is a certified CNA and along with her husband, provide a safe and comfortable environment, cook, bathe, clean and personally attend to the needs of their residents, having well learned each of their individual characteristics. We both got the same idea...that we had found a "gem"! When I arrived home I looked for online reviews. There are some wonderful ones. In particular a rather detailed and glowing review written by a nurse. From what we've just seen, we're in agreement 100% !!
