Lovely facilities with nice staff, however, they are not trained to handle behaviors of able-bodied seniors with advanced Alzheimer's. Our father entered Grant Serenity of Verdugo (Burbank) and died a little over 7 weeks later after being transferred to Grant Serenity of Pasadena. This was due to inappropriately prescribed medications from St. Vincent Hospice which was recommended to us by Grant Serenity. Please be aware that Grant's approach to challenging behaviors is to medicate until bedridden, or in our father's situation, unconscious, and then dead.
