Greencastle Family Care

My husband stayed at Greencastle for almost 3 years and all the caregivers took amazing care of him. It truly is a home and I always felt at peace that he was safe, clean and well fed. Not once did we have any problems and if we had any concerns, they were open and communicative. I am so thankful for all they have done for my husband.

My father was taken care of at Greencastle for about 3 years. They provided the best assistance and ensured comfort throughout his time there. We love Greencastle!!!!

My husband spent the past eight months at Green Castle....he was always clean, always shaved and even in his delicate condition was stimulated thru an exercise program, music therapy and a little 2 year old running around. You see the owners of Green Castle live on premise.... this makes all the difference in the world...it is not a institution but a home. For me, I feel a higher power brought my husband to this place for when you visit and then leave you know your loved one is in good hands and you are at peace. There is a beautiful four season sun porch that faces nature that my husband loved. It brought a special calmness to the day. Having been in two other facilities both beautifully appointed and very expensive but could not hold a candle to Green Castle.

Greencastle Family Care is an amazing privately owned board and care facility for our family members, both young and old. My elderly mother received the best care, in a magnificent private home in Farmington Hills. Owners Elena and Marius, along with their staff members, are compassionate, loving, respectful, kind, generous, and most of all, everyone is honest and trustworthy. My wife and I rate Greencastle a 10+.

Our father was with this facility for four years until he recently passed away. Prior to this placement we tried several other facilities and none of them worked for us or him. None of them could hold a candle to this place anyways. I have only good things to say about Greencastle. The owners are a family and this business is part of their home. The couple who own are good people with trusted morals and I have complete respect for them as individuals. They have their home area separated for their privacy but they have a beautiful home. The facility itself is gorgeous. The facility is immaculately clean every day and the areas are beautiful calming and provide a healing environment for the residents. Each resident has a private room and bathroom. This facility out surpasses ANY other one I’ve ever seen and I work in healthcare. They treated our dad like a family member and their caregivers are hired based from recommendations from personal relationships. The caregivers, and there are only two, (unlike many places that hire people with a revolving door) are highly trusted, experienced and have good backgrounds. Only having a couple of people doing the direct care provides for quality care and relationships are developed that really get to know your loved one personally. They can know if and when something is wrong. They really knew and cared for our dad and noticed the very subtle signs when he got sick and acted promptly. Being unable to personally care for my dad at my home was a huge struggle for me emotionally but the cost of doing that is astronomical. This was the next best thing for him. He was safe, loved and in a lovely And VERY clean environment. They provided all of his needs and activities for him to do. I feel the cost is fair and worth every penny. You get what you pay for in my opinion, and when you’re looking for such an important service as entrusting your loved one to outsiders care, the cost here is fair and even well below what is given in return. The next best thing to having your loved one at home with you. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could.
