My best friend's mom is a resident at Tudor house there at Guardian Angels. She and the other residents get great care. The rooms are nice. There is adequate staff and they are helpful, compassionate, and friendly. The atmosphere here is peaceful and comfortable, like a home. The food is good and they are served good portion sizes each meal. She is very happy here, feels safe and smiles a lot now.

I was not impressed at all with this place. It was a horrible experience for my dad. I was there every day with him and each time I was there, the staff was hanging out in the kitchen talking. I never saw any of them engaging with the residents! I have been to many "retirement" communities and have not seen this behavior at them. So disappointing! I was not impressed with the administration either (not very caring, helpful, or sympathetic) except when they wanted to collect the money. I think this place was a good place many years ago, but now, I would not recommend it for loved ones. I could have taken better care of him in my own home, which, if I would have known, I would have done. He lasted 3 weeks there!! One staff member, after my father passed, even said "I think we failed your dad".....if that doesn't say it all, I don't know what does. Please choose the place that you will put your loved one in very carefully, this one is NOT it. It is heartbreaking witnessing the lack of care they receive.

How fortunate we were to have our dear mother living in Colonial House at Guardian Angel Homes for 3 1/2 years. Mom was happy and enjoyed her life there. She had lived with her daughters for years, put when that didn't work any more, Guardian Angel was perfect for this time of her life. She was always smiling and that made us happy. Whatever level of assistance she needed, the staff provided care with profesionalism, compassion and personal caring. They were amazing. Mom passed a couple of weeks ago. Hospice was there working with the staff. These Guardian Angel care givers had known Mom for years. They too had tears as they gave Mom, and even we her family, comfort and everything we needed. It also touched me how her friends and fellow residents came to visit Mom in her final days. They came quietly to pray with her, to talk with her, and to hold her hand. Staff and residents alike brought so much strength and comfort to Mom and to we her children. Truly Guardian Angel was a blessing. We have such wonderful memories of being there.
