Our mother has been at Harbison Shores Memory Care for about a year, the staff is amazing and our mother just lights up and smiles when she sees them, they show her a lot of attention and they've taught my family a lot concerning Dementia, which is a new experience for us, the facility is very pretty and clean, they are very good about keeping us informed of our mother's health and/ or treatment, they have a lot of activities, church, Bible study, music, crafts, etc., would highly recommend

Always Professional, friendly & compassionate staff. They eased my anxiety about moving our mom to the Memory Care side. Thank you for being so patient and supportive. KAS

My friend of 42 years has been living at Harbison Shores. The staff there is professional, kind and compassionate. Compassionate being the word. She gets great care physically and emotionally. Cleanliness is obviously important. I treasure my time visiting my friend and getting to know and love other residents and their families. Her family feels blessed, as I do. HS has high standards and I am so very appreciative to them.

Absolutely horrendous experience with Harbison Shores Memory Care. Have seen people sitting in puddles of urine multiple times. My grandma went into Harbison Shores fully ambulatory (in fact may have been eligible for assisted living and not memory care, she was on the line between the two) and two weeks later was unable to stand and walk on her own and had a bad fall that hospitalized her as well as a bedsore that needed to be surgically cleaned. They didn't shower her the two weeks she was there. She wasn't eating or drinking and no one told us this until the fall happened and one of the head caregivers told us it was because she was weak from not eating/drinking. News to us! Furthermore, none of the management staff wanted to take any responsibility for this. They talked badly about my family to each other and to other family members. They talk a great game when you're touring. Don't let it fool you. Show up at 8:30/9 pm and see that the residents are all just sitting in the foyer waiting to be put to bed and the two staff members are completely overwhelmed and people are sitting in puddles of their own urine. (When the staff member saw me see this one time she said "oh Mrs. _____ you drank too much juice" are you kidding me??) My grandmother is now on hospice and I firmly believe it's from the lack of care she received at Harbison Shores Memory Care. Please do your research. Stay away from Harbison Shores. (also some of the good reviews here are from staff members just FYI)

While it was a much shorter stay than we had hoped when we moved our grandma in, Harbison Shores was great caring for our grandma. Their facilities were clean, their staff was very professional and caring for their residents. We started in assisted living and while our grandma got sick quickly and ended up in hospice care, the staff were very loving and accommodating during her final days. From the admission process to moving in to caring for grandma daily, it was what was needed for our grandma to be comfortable in her final days. I highly recommend this facility for assisted living and memory care and know that if your loved one ever ends up on hospice care they can comfort and safely stay put in this facility.
