The physical therapy was well done and the staff was knowledgeable. The room was comfortable, especially for guests and visitors. There was plenty of storage and closet space. The amenities they provided were very useful. However, the bed was uncomfortable for my large husband, until they brought in a different model to accommodate his size. The director of the facility was quite pleasant. The aides who helped him shower were exceptional. Generally, the upkeep of the room was well maintained, and the maintenance staff was quite competent in making repairs. However, the food service lacked cohesion, despite meeting with the head of the food service department. In the three weeks my husband stayed here for rehab, they never could get his food service correct. He has many allergies, which were often ignored in his food preparation. He is allergic to eggs, but they continued to bring him eggs for breakfast for over a week. He is on a high protein diet, and rather than offering a variety of proteins per meal, the protein of the day was just doubled, making for too much (wasted) food. There were other issues as well regarding food service. The nursing staff was probably well trained, but it seemed they were always being run ragged (staff shortage?) Some of the medical needs for my husband were not taken seriously, despite many attempts to remedy the situation. Sometimes it would take a long time for someone to answer the call bell, other times it was answered very quickly. And while we assume most of the staff was honest, my husband discovered money missing from his wallet when we finally arrived back home. So leave your valuables with your family or at home before staying here. Generally, it was more uncomfortable for my husband as a patient than for me as a visitor. Staff was always pleasant to me and answered my questions. As far as rehab facilities, I expect we could have done much worse. I appreciated that the door was always "open" whenever I wanted to visit, whether early in the morning, or later in the evening. One quickly learns how to get in and out of the facility "after hours". There was not always staff available at the front desk, but when someone was there, they were very friendly.

Our family has had such a wonderful experience with Harbor Lodge in Noblesville. From the very beginning, the staff made us feel confident and at peace with placing our 84-year-old mom in their care — and that peace of mind is priceless. The caregivers are compassionate, patient, and genuinely kind. They treat our mom with dignity, respect, and warmth, and it truly feels like they see her as family, not just a resident. The environment is clean, welcoming, and calm, and there is always someone available when she needs assistance. We’ve been especially impressed with the communication from staff and leadership — they keep us informed, involved, and reassured every step of the way. The activities, meals, and social opportunities have helped our mom stay engaged and feel connected, which has made a huge difference in her quality of life. Choosing assisted living is never easy, but Harbor Lodge has made it a beautiful and comforting transition for our entire family. We are deeply grateful for the care, compassion, and professionalism they provide every single day. We would wholeheartedly recommend Harbor Lodge in Noblesville to any family looking for a safe, loving, and trustworthy place for their loved one.

My wife came to Harbour Manor for hospice care from the hospital. This rating is only for the care from Harbour, not the hospice agency who is added to the care team. Harbour was responsible for the day-to-day care of Nancy. First, we were lucky to get a solo room. Most long term care is done in double rooms. We had less stress than people in double rooms. Dealing with a roommate could have been stressful. I had thought about taking my wife home, but am extremely happy that I selected a nursing facility to take care of her. It allowed me to remain the loving husband and not the stressed out caretaker doing laundry, cooking, cleaning and the care of my wife. I cannot say enough positive things about the staff at Harbour Manor. They are amazing care takers. I could list the many nurses and aides who cared for Nancy, but I would hate to miss anyone and make them feel slighted. They were ALL wonderful! I expected to run into someone who was a "prickly pear". People have bad days but no one interacted with my wife was short tempered or ill tempered. Maybe they fight in the backroom with each other, but nothing but care and concern was shown to us. It was amazing to me. I do believe in the adage "You reap what you sow." Nancy and I were very appreciative of the care they provided. They have hard jobs - some residents have been in Harbour for years and may not want to be there. If your loved one tends to be crabby or expects concierge hotel service, then they may be disappointed. Before I went to meet the Admissions Director, Ashley, I talked to any resident what I could see. The three of them said the care was good. This was not coerced feedback - no staff was around. That said a lot about the care at Harbour so I felt comfortable placing my wife there. The front office of Ashley and Brittany provided very loving service. They are wonderful. The local social worker Emily is very kind. Even Jenn the custodian gave kind and caring words to me. Cardon has a lot of facilities in Indiana. A member of our church went to Hamilton Trace for hospice care, a facility about 3 blocks from our house. His widow said his care was wonderful. But no rooms were available at Hamilton Trace. Harbour Manor is a sister facility and I hoped it would provide similar care. I checked and found if a room came open in Hamilton Trace, it was an easy process to transfer my wife from Harbour Manor. Nancy was only in hospice 10 days, a lot shorter than expected. Nursing care is expensive. But like I said, using Harbour Manor allowed me to remain the stressed but caring husband. I don't know how to go through hospice WITHOUT stress. I don't think it is possible, but Harbour Manor minimized my stress. I knew my wife was well taken care of when I was not there. I typically was at the facilities from 8:00AM to 10:00PM. Like all performance reviews "Past performance is no indication of future performance." But I think this kindness and high quality come from the top down. If Jacob Atkinson is still the Facilities Administrator, I expect the care will still to be be very high. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the kind and caring staff at Harbour (Freight) Manor who took care of Nancy. I would tease the nurses and call Harbour Manor Harbor Freight as a stress reliever. They soon caught on.

My mother is there now. And has problems daily. The food is awful. The aides take forever to change their briefs. The call lights stay on for well over 30 minutes. And same goes for the meds. I walked the hallway and could see the dust on ledges, even a coffee stain. I have met a few really nice people there. Please help

I have been to Harbor Manor numerous times for physical therapy following a hospitalization. The facility is clean, comfortable, and up to date. My beds have always been comfortable and the food good. The staff is freindly, professional, kind and caring. I will be happy to return if/when I am in need of physical therapy rehab with skilled nursing again.
