The staff here is fabulous! Very caring and welcoming. The residents here are happy with the services they receive. You will receive a warm welcome from Christine and Karina when you walk in. I highly recommend this community when looking at a place for yourself or loved one!

Every place has issues, especially on weekends But, the Staff is friendly, well trained and compassionate The food is good Effort is made to keep patience as active as possible The Facility is always clean and secure I’d recommend them We only left because a Nursing home seemed a better fit as physical needs over took memory needs

Apart from the obvious (clean and cheerful facility, outdoor space, good food, fun activities) what stands out to me is the genuine kindness and caring of the staff. I have noticed, when I doubt the staff member knew anyone was watching, consistent respect, patience, even tenderness in dealing with residents. My own father was extremely unhappy to go there in the first place, and was initially suspicious of everyone, but you can see now that he has bonded with the staff and some of the other residents, and is genuinely happy to see them. This has given me a lot of comfort.

I’ve had the pleasure of working closely with Mary Fite, the Clinical Liaison! As a nurse, I wanted to better understand the experience families go through when finding an assisted living for a family member. Throughout multiple meetings, I’ve been absolutely floored by Mary’s dedication. Despite her packed schedule—coordinating with her team, giving tours, and guiding families through the decision-making process—she has always taken the time to connect with me and share her insights. What stands out most is Mary’s genuine commitment to helping families make the right decision—even if that means they choose a different community. While her role is to keep this senior living community full and vibrant, she prioritizes what is truly best for each family. That kind of integrity and compassion is rare when there is such an incentive to keep a full community. Independence Village has been a part of Fishers for some time. My teenage son volunteered here when in elementary school, playing board games for a day of service —so Ive seen the effort they take to connect the residents to the community. I know there are newer communities that may have more “modern” looks, but for me, what truly makes the place standout is the sense of belonging and warmth you feel as soon as you walk in. The design of the building and the dedicated staff have cultivated a caring culture where every minute counts, and they continually find new ways to support families during what can be an incredibly stressful time. I highly recommend taking a tour, bringing your parent for an activity or lunch, and experiencing it for yourself. I wouldn’t be surprised if it quickly rises to the top of your list!

I moved from Fort Worth Texas to Fishers Indiana in 2023. I visited many communities but never felt connected. A friend suggested I visit Independence Village of Fishers South. I walked into the lobby and immediately felt comfortable. I was greeted by so many of the residents who were very welcoming. I had been looking for community and found it here at Fishers South. We are truly a family looking out for each other and our staff are just wonderful to us and make every effort to get what we might need. I have no regrets choosing this community and feel truly blessed to have found it.
