My mother lived at Hearthstone the last 3.5 years. My mother and our family had a wonderful experience. The social aspect was very good for my mom as the fellow residents were such good people and provided new and meaningful friendships for my her. The building itself is very nice as they recently did a total upgrade with furniture, carpeting, painting throughout and the units are perfect in size and the chapel is beautiful. There is also a new cafe - that was great to go and have a lunch or coffee and chat. There was lots of fun activities and the dining was good. As my mother declined in health the entire staff (nurses, CNAs, directors) was truly amazing. They treated my mother like it was their own family. We are so thankful my mother lived in Hearthstone.

If your parent has early to mid stage dementia do not bring them here. My mother was basically isolated and excluded from many activities. It was a terrible experience for us. And their memory care unit is outdated and dismal. On top of this they are very high priced. Save your money there are other facilities that offer more care for less money.

Hearthstone is great. Last week my mother came-down with stomach flu. The flu was terrible. But the staff jumped on it. They attended to her every need. Even the nurse called me from her apartment. I was concerned that they would came-down with it also. She assured me that they take every precaution. Today my mother is well and going down to the dining room. (The menu is what you expect in a restaurant. ) Thank you Heartstone.
