We visited for a tour, and put down money to hold a suite for us until lease signed in 2 business days. The facility has several buildings to help residents transition from independent living to needing significant help. Lots of routine activity options available including trips to interesting places.

My Cousin is a resident at Discovery Village in Webster Texas. We went to visit her there in August of 2025.It is an amazing place. The employees were very welcoming and efficient. Her apartment was very nice. We had lunch with her in the dining room and the food was delicious. You can order from the menu or eat the lunch specials. The tables have nice white linens. The staff was so polite and accommodating. There are many activities for the residents to take part in. I am doing better happy for her.

We had an urgent situation needing to find residence for my father-in-law. Discovery Village returned our call immediately and said that we could come right away for a tour. Upon arriving, I was greeted by the most friendly staff. They spent an hour and 30 minutes with me, touring the property, explaining every detail making sure no question was left to wonder about. Kendra and Stacy were so helpful during the meeting! Kendra made a special video for my Father-in-law to show him his new apartment and welcome him. Not only did she do that but she made a special trip over to the rehab center where he was currently at to introduce herself and welcome him to his new community residence! What I thought was going to take a couple of weeks to do turned out to be only one day! They took all the struggle out of the transition arranging for his prescriptions to be transferred and helping find a PCP to manage his care since he was new to the area moving from Gonzales. I cannot say enough about the cleanliness of the facility, the friendliness of the staff, as well as the professionalism and eagerness to do their job in a pleasing manner!

My mother in law lives at Discovery Village Webster, formally Heartis. She has been there several years and initially really liked it. The food was very good, activities were great and the staff was helpful and listened to the residents. Since Discovery Village has become the management company the food service has declined, the activities have declined, the staffs willingness to listen has declined. The front doors at Discovery Village are very large and heavy. Many residents cannot maneuver them because of this and because they are on walkers. The residents have been promised automatic doors (which in my opinion should have been in place when the building was designed) for so long I cannot even remember but there are still no automatic doors so residents continue to struggle to get in and out of the building. At one point, several years ago, the staff would help residents with the doors but that is now a rare occurrence, as the staff cannot be bothered with such things. This does not affect my family but the elevators do not work during power outages. If I had a resident who became stuck because they could not walk stairs I would move them. Generators were installed recently but have not worked since installation on more than one occasion. The life alert system promised to residents upon move in was recently repaired but was out of service for several weeks leaving residents at risk when in their rooms. Resident meetings regularly get canceled so no one hears the resident complaints, no one seems to care. Although Discovery Village is designed as independent living and does definitely provide socialization and safety for those who otherwise might be isolated and lonely as they age there are many, many things that could be done better and much more efficiently than they are. Simple things like automated doors, elevators that ALWAYS function properly, good food and food service, and consistent well thought out activities for residents would certainly bring Discovery Village up a notch. All of this could easily be addressed if the staff and higher organization took time to listen and care deeper for the needs of those desiring to age well in a community providing for their needs.

I have been a resident here for 2 1/2 years. I moved in here with my handicapped daughter and her husband who have an apartment right across from mine. It is a great place to live! The staff is excellent, the food is good, and the activities program is vibrant. I have recommended Discovery Village to a number of friends and will continue to do so.
