HEATHERWOOD

I can't say enough about the Heatherwood staff and facilities. My father lived there for the last 20 months of his life, and was always cared for with dignity, respect, and kindness. The facilities are bright and cheerful, and the residents clearly enjoy interacting with and getting to know each other. The staff are well-trained and very kind, and the administration is welcoming and helpful. They listen to the residents, and welcome their feedback and ideas. In the last days of our dad's life, they all went above and beyond, working alongside Heartland Hospice staff to make sure that Dad was comfortable, and that his family felt cared for as well, including bringing us food and coffee and maintaining open communication. Thank you to Jenny, Angela, Susie, and especially the direct care staff for your wonderful care and kindness. We will always be grateful.

My parents will be moving into Heatherwood after a wonderful intake process. I've found the team at Heatherwood to be responsive and compassionate. Residents were engaged and smiling during the tour. The facility itself was very well maintained and had beautiful spaces for both larger group gatherings and more private nooks and crannies depending on the resident's preference. Jenny, the Community Relations Director, went above and beyond to ensure a smooth process during what can be an emotional transition.

My mother was a resident at Heatherwood from June 2019 until she passed away in April 2024. After visiting several facilities with her, she chose Heatherwood because "it felt more like home". From Day #1 she was welcomed into the Heatherwood family and through the years was given excellent care by the staff that truly shows loving care and concern for each resident. We were frequent visitors and soon developed relationships with both the staff and with other residents. Early last year Mom moved from her 2nd floor apartment to the Memory Care unit where they were better able to provide the increased care that became necessary for her. The transition went very well, and she appreciated the additional attention the staff (which she already knew) was able to give her. Jenny Hall, Community Relations Director, was our initial contact and is a wonderful representative for the facility, always taking time to interact with the residents and get to know their families. Kaufua, the Activities Director, does an excellent job of coordinating a wide range of activities and outings for the residents. The care staff is very dedicated and their concern for the residents is evident by the excellent level of care they provide. The facility is well-maintained and in very good condition. Rick (maintenance) is very qualified and quickly and cheerfully takes care of any needed repairs. The team at Heatherwood truly delivers on providing a warm and welcoming environment. We greatly appreciate the kindness and compassion they showed Mom (and us) while she was there.

Jenny Hall is truly the face of HeatherWood Assisted Living and Memory Care and sets the bar very high. She is smart, honest, dedicated, loving, and compassionate and truly puts the residents needs first. With her in leadership, the community is safe and fun and a place your loved ones can truly call home.

The management team at Heatherwood go above and beyond to meet the needs of the residents and their families with compassion, care and efficiency. There is a welcoming atmosphere and a strong feeling of community(family). My mother has resided there for 3 years and we couldn’t be happier with the resources available to us, the caregivers’ dedication and the everyday quality of Life she is experiencing there.
