Hickory Village

This place is absolutely nasty! The floors, wall, vents, furniture disgusting. The patients are not bathed on a regular basis. They walk around with soiled clothing. Barefoot on the nasty sticky floor. They do not get changed or teeth brushed. They do not keep up with the medication or even know what the time was it was last given to them. Thermometers do not work, per the CNA the batteries are kept locked in the admin office. We visited our loved one everyday. I pray that the other residents there have someone to advocate for them. There are a few good staff members like Jess, Romeo, Amber, Dalion, Amilyn, and Lillian. The others need to be replaced unless sitting upfront on their phone is what they are getting paid to do. They really need to be shut down for a deep clean and a management overhaul!

Hickory Village is my father's home now. He had been in another place in Shelby that was horrible. The staff at Hickory Village does a great job of taking care of him over all. His family is very appreciative of the care he receives and the interaction the staff has with him. We are thankful that you took a chance on him since the notes made by the other place were not stellar. I am very happy to say that the issues he had in Shelby have not surface at Hickory Village. And that is most likely because Hickory Village is capable of handling memory care residents.

I would just like to thank Hickory Village Memory Care for the care my Mother-N-Law received while she was there. The staff was so supportive, kind and helpful to the family. I could not recommend a better place to take care of a loved one with aging issues . Our family can not thank them enough.
