Highgate Great Falls

From what I saw on my fantastic tour with Marry this is Home ! Everything is well organized in all aspects, the love and care for those that live here is amazing. I love that they have a calendar of all kinds of events. The rooms are meant to let you feel at home in this transition. Every part on the High Gate is clean. The staff every one of them feel like people you have known for years so kind and friendly. The food OMG smells unbelievable! I was really impressed with them.knowing that my mother-in-law would be happy here. She can do all kinds of things every day and make great friends, she will be cared for in ways you can’t imagine until you visit. She will be happy, we will be happy for her and she will be able to bring her cat so the whole transition will be a great one. She is very excited about this. Note for your loved one to want and be happy about making the decision to move to the High Gate that speaks volumes. They love it , they feel safe, they know they will be cared for , plus every day is an adventure with new friends!

It's hard to describe how wonderful Highgate has been in one of the hardest times in our lives. The staff has been so kind and understanding and each and every one that I met cares for my grandpa and his well being. I can't thank Melissa enough for answering all my questions and dealing with what she has had to and Timmie made the transition for me to take guardianship easy and stress-free. I wish I could name every one, but please know that you are all so wonderful and I am eternally grateful! The one thing I'm not worried about is that my grandpa is being cared for and loved by all of you!

Every Highgate staff person, including administrative, maintenance and support are just amazing! For those of us who have tended our loved ones for years throughout their changes, we can intimately appreciate the details that are covered. The services each person provides are 5 star!!! Incredible hospitality to guests and visitors. There is tremendous behind-the-scenes work that goes to making every moment for the folks, especially in memory care, unique!

There are three reasons why Highgate has been a phenomenal home for my dad: 1. The staff 2. The staff 3. The staff The care and attention my father has received has been incredible. I cannot say enough about the kindness, fun, and attentiveness the staff provides. Also, the size of Highgate is perfect. There are enough residents to provide social opportunities for my dad (with a nice variety of activities offered), but it's small enough to feel personal and homey. My dad has enjoyed the food as well. I have had several meals with him at Highgate and have been impressed with the quality of nutrition as well as the taste. For many reasons, but mainly due to the excellence of the staff, Highgate has been an amazing home for my dad.

Where do I begin? Perhaps before my dad was at Highgate. We knew the time was nearing when we would need additional help for my dad’s care. We toured Highgate and Mary was so kind & thorough and answered all of our questions, but unfortunately there were no openings at the time. Not long after, we needed to make the move and had to choose another community. For about 8 months my dad was at the other community yet Mary would call just to check on him! Even when she didn’t have an opening, she cared enough to touch base with our family. Finally an opening came up and we jumped at it. We could not be happier! The ENTIRE staff at Highgate care so deeply about their mission of providing loving, compassionate care to ALL of their residents. This is not the norm in this industry and every one of the staff deserve medals for what they do day in and day out. The director, Karen, is present throughout the community daily. She knows all the residents and families. She does a phenomenal job running the entire community. She also has amazing support around her. Turnover here is minimal, which is also uncommon in this industry. From the time you walk in you are greeted with a warm welcome and smile from Timmie or Melissa, or whomever else may be at the front desk. All of the care partners, nurses, maintenance staff, housekeeping and cooks are all so sweet. Well, maybe not Russ! (Just kidding) The residents love his sassy attitude, as do we. His interactions are just so real, he treats everyone like a family member, and I believe that helps the residents feel right at home. The enrichment services and activities that are provided are exceptional. Sabrina has provided a lot of care for my dad as has Rose. Tawna also oversees a lot of his care and is also a gem! Everyone is kind, loving and patient. One must have patience when dealing with my dad. But regardless of who is caring for his many needs, they all do so in a caring & compassionate way that helps him maintain his dignity. We are so happy that Highgate finally had an opening. Through the loving care he receives there, we are able to find joy and peace as he winds down his long life. Thank you Highgate!
