The employees here make you feel very welcome, the residents also make it feel like home. It is very warm and welcoming. I am excited to get to know and learn more about the Highlands community!

My Mom lives at this facility. She has been diagnosed with dementia, and is in a wheelchair. I’m very pleased with the staff here. They go well above with their care and companionship. I am there quite often and have observed them interacting with all residents. All of the staff are amazing. The cleaning staff are a God send. This place smells amazing she works hard keeping this place clean and smelling good. We’re very bless to find people who still cares not just a job. We are truly thankful for the care our Mom receives. Look passed the facility age. It could use a few upgrades (new paint, furniture, tables and chairs etc.). If you are looking for a place for your loved one definitely check this place out.

My brother is new to Highlands. He came from an independent fancy-looking senior apartment in Charlotte that served gourmet meals....and he was extremely lonely. The first minute that we arrived at Highlands, a resident greeted us warmly from the front porch. Inside, several residents did the same. There was a flurry of activity and several conversations going on among residents and between staff and residents. This community seems more like a family. Residents were relaxed. Several male residents offered their friendship and help right away. Staff provided a welcome basket of necessary items. I'm looking forward to working with Highlands to provide a home for my brother.

I was worried about putting my dad in a nursing home. But dad is so happy there. He has gained so many new friends there. To see him happy to call highlands home is a blessing. All the staff there is a joy for my dad. Gives me security knowing dad is in good hands. Just wanted to let you know thanks for everything you all do for daddy's care.
