Do not use this facility. I have been waiting for a month for answers to questions. I have emailed the questions numerous times, called & included the questions with my check but still no answers. I live out of state & popped in to find my husband, his bed & floor covered in feces. His clothes were filthy as well as his room. His room smelled so badly I could smell it down the hall & his door was closed. I was gagging so badly I almost threw up. If he was in this condition in my home I promise you I would be charged with elder abuse. All the care givers were sitting around visiting. I filed a complaint that day & no one has acknowledged it a month later. He wound up in the hospital that day due to the condition of his legs & one aide called me & said there were maggots in his legs. They cleaned him up & put clean clothes on him before calling the ambulance to cover their butts. I have pictures & it is disgusting how they treat the residents. My husband was also a victim of identity theft after moving in & today I found out sn aide was arrested last year for stealing checks & forgery. Now Hospice is coming in so they are bathing him & it makes HollyCourt a little more attentive but not much. I still can’t figure out what I am paying for since he wasn’t bathed, his clothes were filthy & his room was filthy while he is level 3 & all this should be covered. If it takes over a month to just answer some simple questions then you know they don’t actually attend to the residents. Also an aide said they bribe him with cigarettes to shower & he has been through radiation for lung cancer. I do NOT purchase him cigarettes & told Kathy his trust isn’t for cigarettes & is for haircuts only. His hair was to his shoulders when I popped in. I have voiced my concerns of him & another resident smoking on the balcony for fear of a fire. Their reply is we have talked to them & sent them letters. My husband has dementia so do they think he remembers & the other resident furnishes the cigarettes. It is like the residents are running the place.

I strongly advise against placing your loved ones in this facility, particularly in the "Memory Lane" unit. While the standard Assisted Living section appears well-maintained, the conditions behind the closed doors of the memory care unit are deeply concerning. I have personally witnessed consistent signs of severe neglect. Residents are frequently left unattended, unwashed, and in soiled clothing for extended periods. Furthermore, there is a distinct lack of supervision for mobile residents; I have observed unmonitored altercations between residents that went unreported by staff. Dehydration also appears to be a systemic issue back there. This facility prioritizes profit over genuine patient care, creating an environment that is both hazardous and unsafe for vulnerable adults. If you have family members here, I highly recommend looking into alternative placement immediately. DO NOT PLACE YOUR LOVED HERE, THEY WILL NE SEVERELY NEGLECTED!!!

Don’t put your relative behind the locked doors in Memory Care. The rooms spell like urine, residents are unattended and the food is not so great. My mother was there and was so medicated she could hardly get up out of a wheelchair to stand up. There is no water for them to drink in their rooms not did we see any snacks provided for them Their food is served in cheap styrofoam plates with small plastic cups for their drink . The outside “garden” area had no flowers and all the rockers were rotten wood and broken . The Assisted Living facility may be nice, but the so called Memory Care is horrible!
