Reina Gonzalez, the Admissions Coordinator, is a true God sent guardian angel. She went above and beyond to help my mom and I ensure she got her care needs met. It is people like her that restore my faith in humankind. I highly recommend paying her a visit if you or a loved one is in need of a healthcare navigator. Whether or not Holly Hall is the right fit for the level and stage of care, as well as insurance challenges you may have, she will take the time to point you in the right direction.

I am.wroting this review to acknowledge and highlight the wonderful exceptional experience I have had with Patrick Collier at Holly Hall CRC. I will make this as brief as possible yet expound on the qualities of great service provided by Patrick. As I sought to find a community and facility to aid my 92 year old father's rehab therapy, I needed a place that would accommodate not only his individual condition but cater his character wholly. After visiting 2 properties (Park Manor Missoury City and Westchase) I knew I was in for a long search. However, on the day I decided to make multiple visits across the city of Houston, I decided to stop by, leaving the VA Hospital since it was a close facility and not far from my house. Amazingly, as I entered the property I felt this would be my last stop. I was introduced to Patrick for tour by the security guard and another employee which lead me to believe HE was the guy who would make this my first and only visit for the day. Patrick and I immediately connected and as I explained to him my needs he listened carefully, which in turn provoked his convincing pitch to respond to every need I mentioned. He was knowledgeable not only about other facilities and their performance grades but also noted the specific accommodations he could provided and how they compare to others. My is 92 with mild dementia. Patrick made this process smoother than I could have imagined. His warm welcoming attitude, knowledge and spirit helped me decide immediately that this was the place for rehabilitation for my dad and even myself as I daily care and provide the right treatment and service to my loved one. Doing this on my own is not easy but Patrick definitely made it feel that way. I will be happy to refer other people to this facility and hope that Patrick would continue to be in place to guide many more people while also being rewarded for his service. Thank you Patrick and Holly Hall CRC Management.

I just brought my husband home today after a two month stay at Holly Hall SNF. It was a very good experience for him from the first day to the last. The nurses, CNAs, physical and occupational therapists, housekeeping, kitchen and administrative staff were wonderful and they all worked together to make his stay so beneficial that I was able to sleep well each night knowing that my husband was being well cared for. Prior to his stay at Holly Hall, he was in another SNF in Pearland that was absolutely the worst place ever so I was was skeptical at first. He went to Holly Hall not being able to walk, turn in the bed and with a pressure wound he got from the first SNF. I'm happy to report that my husband is 100% better and able to use a walker on his way to a full recovery. Thank God for the staff at Holly Hall! They've given my confidence in skilled nursing facilities again!

I can only speak to the health wing, where my father was for about a month. Facility is woefully understaffed. If you ask the drastically overworked nurses how many patients they are responsible they will respond “I’m not allowed to tell you”. I heard 30 patients to one nurse mentioned by a case manager, and would suspect that is correct. A private sitter came in to watch my father one evening and described it as a “horror movie” with no staff in evidence and patients asking for help as she walked by their rooms. The staff tries, but there is only so much you can do with those ratios. So you will need to pay additional for private caregivers , or stay yourself , to provide the care your loved one should have. This will be additional to the 10 grand per month Holly Hall is charging. Yes call buttons ( when they work, they frequently do not even work) will ring constantly , unanswered. There is no staff to answer them. If you are standing outside your loved one’s room while they are being changed , don’t be surprised to be asked for assistance by other patients who are trying to get to their room in a wheelchair. TV’s are broken, handles are missing on cabinets and a lot of the hospital style tables that the patient uses from their bed do not work. You’ll have to be very insistent to get any of these items taken care of. One plus is that the health wing was absolutely spotless. The cleaning crew is very good.

My step daughter was admitted yesterday into your care after hip surgery. We were very happy and thankful that she was able to have such a wonderful place to stay for her recovery. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Her mother and I are very thankful for Holly Hall and it’s very friendly and skilled staff. Thank you so much!!
