Holy Cross Village At Notre Dame Inc

We have been here for almost 3 years. This place has a lot going for it. The facilities are very nice and kept like new. We live in a Villa and love the view of the pond and all the wildlife. The staff is dedicated to making the experience enjoyable with many activities available to the residents.

The last time I visited myom, 5 days ago, the room and bathroom were cleaner than I have seen them in over a year. Thank you. Dirty washcloths were not collecting on the vanity and clothes were appropriately hung up. Lunch was edible except for the meat. It was beef, a brisket I believe. It appeared juicy and tender but it was not chewable for my mom. The gentleman who delivered it offered to cut it up, but I said I would. It was moist and juicy but difficult to cut because of its stringiness. I even took a bite and found it difficult to chew, finally swallowing it semi chewed. Isn't there a better selection of beef for the elderly who have difficulty chewing andustndollow eachorsel with something to drink to avoid choking? My mom is able to consume a good breakfast thankfully.

This is a beautiful place to live.The location on 3 campuses is invigorating. The residents are welcoming,kind and accomplished. The staff is efficient,patient,kind and always happy to help you. I am so happy I made the decision to live here.

It’s been a very good experience overall— both residents and staff have been welcoming and kind. I’ve made many friends and have no complaints. The few issues that have cropped up, I’ve been very happy with the response. Maintenance responded quickly and did everything necessary to take care of the problem completely. I’m also very impressed with the amount and quality of activities available. The housekeeping is also wonderful.

My experience here at HCV has been much more rich and full than I even imagined when I moved here 8 years ago. Security, yes, beautiful surroundings and facilities yes, free from housekeeping and maintenance, yes. But so much more. This community provides wonderful support to residents and beyond to many local charities. I enjoy the spirit here. Fellow residents and staff members care for each other. It’s an active community rich with opportunities.
