Homestead Estates Home Plus has a very home-like feel. There is personal care, no longer the feel of being just another person unable to care for themselves. My father has been a resident of Homestead Estates Home Plus for about 1 1/2 years now. He came from a facility in town where his health and mental status had deteriorated to the point of having little independent function left. He was spending his days mostly in bed in a fetal position, no longer able to eat much, not speaking or walking. Within weeks of coming to Homestead Estates, the relief we felt was incredible. He began talking,feeding himself, reading, and occasionally even independently walking with a walker. It was as though we had regained some years of his life back. The care he continues to get is personal, with staff that oversee his day with dignity and respect. I have learned that you don't get that just anywhere.
