HOMESTEAD HOUSE

My mom has not been taken care of well here. She was neglected and spoken to very harshly. We spoke with directors and area directors and nothing changed. I would not recommend. We have moved her. People should be more loving to the elderly. They deserve better care.

My mother considers this place her home. The staff is very caring and treats their residents with love and respect. Our family has been very pleased with the care given to my parents during their time there. If we have issues, it is very easy to communicate with management and they have been resolved quickly. I would definitely recommend placing a loved one here.

Our mom lives at Homestead House and she is very happy there.. She loves the staff and is always telling us how nice they are to her. The facilities are very nice. She also really enjoys the activities that are available. We have to plan our visits around these activities!

Mom moved to Homestead House in March, and it was a great choice. Just yesterday she said, "You know, I never thought I would end up in assisted living, but I know I will always have someone to visit with and to laugh with. I haven't had one bad experience yet." She thinks the care she receives is great, enjoys the food, and loves how staff people stop by to chat. Our family couldn't agree more. We're thankful that Mom is at Homestead House.

I have been looking for a place for my mother and father in this area, I toured several facilities in town. When I walked into Homestead House it was homey and staff were happy and friendly. Clients were involved in morning program and were loving it. All my questions were answered by Suzanne the ED and you could tell she loves the people she cares for and their family. You could just feel it as she talked. Bettie brought in homemade cookies and coffee. I just can't tell you how that made me feel. I really felt that this was the place we would choose for our parents. When I was leaving she walked me to the parking lot and told me that even if we didn't choose them and we had questions in this hard journey we were taking about anything just to call her and she would help us find the answer. Where do you get that kind of customer service anymore . We are still in the process of placing our parents , but when time comes this will be the place we will choose.
