I moved my 96 year old mother who was in the late stages of dementia and wheel chair bound to the Residence at Eden Green. It was the best decision I made for her. I found the staff to be upbeat, caring and helpful. The staff checked on my mother regularly throughout the day, changed her frequently , pushed her in her wheelchair to where she needed or wanted to go and talked with her to provide conversation. My mother was in a spacious room that has a little concrete patio with a view of a wooded area. We set up a bird feeder, and my mom could watch different types of birds as well as wild turkeys come up to her sliding glass windows. There are many activities for the residents, and the staff makes sure that anyone who wants to join will be reminded and assisted to participate. The food is good, and it can be puréed if needed. Eden Green is a beautiful place with a kind and caring staff. I live 22 miles away in Delaware, but the ride was easy to do with little traffic and well worth it for my mother to reside at Eden Green.

I have no idea how I was so fortunate to seek out Eden Green when looking at assisted living homes for my 90+ year old parents. It was a four-month process of tours, brochures, and discussions with at least seven different facilities. When visiting Eden Green I was amazed by the management team and staff taking the time to sit and talk on every visit I made, and I made many visits over a number of weeks. They offered me advice on how to discuss a major life change with my parents. Every piece of advice has proven to be extremely beneficial to my parents and my family. The team reviewed my parents’ needs and had solutions or recommendations for every one of them. They made sure I met each of the major caregivers from nursing, physical therapy, finance, social activities, and even dining staff. Each one showed true interest and compassion for my parents, who they had yet to meet. While preparing for the transition to Eden Green my mom fell and fractured her hip. The injury was genuinely concerning, and we were unsure what to expect for my mom’s recovery. When I informed the Eden Green staff of my mom’s accident they continued to provide excellent advice, helping me understand aspects of recovery, and they visited my mom to assess her care needs. When we established recovery care could occur at Eden Green the team totally and professionally coordinated and facilitated the transfer of my mom from rehab. The team again was exactly right on transferring her to Eden Green. All of mom’s needs were met by the Eden Green team who provided personal care, physical therapy, nursing care, and support staff who became personally involved with her challenge to recover. My mom is now walking, able to take care of herself, and is incredibly happy living at Eden Green. My dad, if you were to talk with him, becomes joyfully emotional about his experience of living at Eden Green. My parents moved to Eden Green during November 2024. I have waited to give this review to assured readers after months Eden Green continues to impress me with their quality of care, the dining experience, social experience, and management team. The level of care and quality of living continues even as my parents face new challenges. Life has its challenges, but I know my parents are in the best possible place to meet them and move past them with the help of Eden Green. If you were to visit Eden Green and see a nice happy couple enjoying sitting in the lounge area they may be mom and dad, just say hi to Ruth and Jim.

Decent care...but beware of hidden costs not used on patients... especially now with no one coming in for activities due to Covid. If you or your loved one runs low on funds, your loved one is evicted: Knowing of Covid concerns. Plus beds must be purchased by family. JS
