What incredible people. The care, kindness and love they gave my mom in the five years she was at Homestead are immeasurable. Her “home away from home” became her home. And her days were filled with encouragement and friendship from everyone there.

Came to visit my grandmother. She is happy to be here. The room is nice size and clean. The staff is attentive.

Homestead has truly been a blessing for our family! Mom has been a resident for a little over a year now and she has absolutely flourished. I cannot say enough good things about this care facility. The staff consistently go above and beyond with their attention and care. They’re always cheerful and genuinely have your loved one's best interests at heart. The facility itself is beautiful, cozy and impeccably clean. There’s always something going on, whether it’s gathering in the gorgeous courtyard, games with friends or the Friday bingo games everyone looks forward to (and yes, family is welcome to join…I may have won a candy bar or two! 😉). Meals are always delicious and the conversations flow easily. For those who prefer quiet, there are always peaceful spaces to retreat to. Peace. That’s what you’ll find at Homestead ~ peace of mind and peace of heart. We are so thankful they had an opening for Mom. We couldn’t have made a better choice.

My 77yo mom has lived at Homestead in Hays for the past 2 1/2 years. It gives me a great peace of mind knowing she is so well taken care of. It is a rare occasion when I go to visit her for more than a few minutes when one of "the kids", as she calls them, doesn't peak their head into her door just to check on her. She is a very social person so she loves that. She gets three nice meals each day. If she doesn't care for the designated "special" menu item each day, she can choose a different meal from a small standard menu the evening prior. The staff comes to remind her before each meal and ask her if she intends to come to the dining room or if she prefers to eat in her room. They encourage her to eat in the dining room for socialization and mobility. She enjoys the weekly bingo games, the Catholic mass, as well as the other activities Homestead provides. The staff bring her meds three times each day and help her with other minor tasks like showering, cleaning, and getting dressed on days when she requests help. The van that transports residents to medical appointments is a great benefit as well. She wasn't excited about moving into assisted living at first, but now her only regret is not moving there earlier! She loves it there!

Choosing an assisted living facility for a parent can be overwhelming, but Homestead made the decision easy for our family. From the moment my mom moved in, she has been warmly welcomed by both the staff and residents. Every employee has treated her with respect, professionalism, and genuine care, which has made all the difference. She loves participating in the weekly activities and can’t stop raving about the daily menu options. Our family is truly at ease knowing she’s in a safe, clean, and supportive environment. We highly recommend Homestead!
