HOMESTEAD OF SHAWNEE OPERATIONS LLC

I am a caregiver for a resident who has been at Homestead of Shawneee for 2 and a half years. As a result of my first hand experience I have asked my family to place me there if the need should arise. My reasons for this decision are: 1. The room layout is very comfortable with a large bedroom separate from a large living area and kitchenette. 2. I enjoy the courtyard and appreciate the fact it is enclosed thus allowing residents to have peace of mind for their animals. 3. Staff stability is exceptional especially at the senior levels. 4. A staff that is very caring especially the Director Dee Dee, Head Nurse Jo, CNA Miranda, and the Activities Director Cory. 5. The community is the perfect size. Small enough that you can quickly get acquainted with all residents but large enough to ensure a variety of friendships. Frankly I hope I never need the services of an Assisted Living community, but it is comforting to my wife and I that we have already picked one out if the need arises. Ron M.

Our mother was at Homestead of Shawnee for two years and we were very pleased with the the staff and facilities at Homestead. The staff always went the extra mile in their care and attentiveness to our mother's daily needs and well-being. As our mother's age-related health issues progressed, the staff embraced her decline and continued to care for her with patience and kindness. We are thankful she was able to live in an assisted-living home that had such a positive family atmosphere. I would highly recommend Homestead of Shawnee to anyone who is exploring assisted living options for an elderly parent.

My mother-in-Law lives here! the community is very clean and always smells nice. The staff is wonderful and very attentive! This is a great place for your loved ones to live at, thank you for all you do to make my mother in law feel at home.

My aunt has been living here for a while now and I can’t complain. The facility is alway so clean and smells really good! The staff is always so pleasant and welcoming. My aunt love’s residing here, and that’s what matters the most. Management does a great job running the facility! A+ from me! Thanks for making our experience truly Amazing

My Mom has been a resident at Shawnee Homestead for over six years. Our experience has been very good. There was a recent change in ownership and a whole new management team. (8 months ago) and it has been very positive. I have eaten at Shawnee Homestead several times and the food is very good. There is a weekly happy hour with various talented entertainers from the area. The have occasional family events where resident’s family members are invited. Each resident has their own apartment with living room, bedroom, bathroom and a large walk-in closet. There is a kitchenette in each apartment with microwave and refrigerator, with cabinets and counter top. Management is on site daily and very responsive to resident and family concerns. Overall, we have been pleased with Shawnee Homestead and feel that we made a good choice.
