If I could give zero stars I would. Do NOT trust them with caring for a family member.

After coming across and then reading the reviews of Hope Cooperative and seeing the negativity of some people or should I say, false claims that was made against the facility. I too, have a family member that is living there. Since day one, when we went to inquire about moving our sister/sister in-law there, we met Dave and Sarah along with some of the staff members and while there we told them what we wanted or expected of the facility and staff. Since then all of our concerns were met or exceeded. As far as getting ahold of Dave or Sarah I would sometimes have to leave a voicemail and they would always return my call when they could. We have been through other facilities with our family member and to date this one ranks #1 with me. As far as cleanliness goes in the facility, I have seen nothing but clean halls, bathrooms and dining areas. I have never witnessed debris laying around inside or outside the facility. I have witnessed the untidiness of our loved ones room though. So her room isn’t picked up or she doesn’t make her bed everyday. The residents are happy there, but more importantly our sister is happy there and to me she is being taken care of. I feel this is the place for her. I will give this facility a rating of 5 stars because they deserve it.

Updated When you have a loved one at Hope and being told they want him moved out within an hour or by the end of the day really leaves the family in a bind trying to find a place to put him, besides on the streets or a homeless shelter. If you do have or plan on placing a loved one there make sure you have a back up plan for placement in case they decide their behavior isn't up to their standards or management doesn't like their personality . ........ Mental health care facilities in Nebraska are very limited, it is almost impossible to get inpatient care due to budget cutbacks .Cass County has no facilities at all until Hope opened up. The concept was good but the management of the facility is very bad . My son was not given one of his meds for about 14 days, we asked about it a few times and we're told it would be taken care of, but by the time it was, they were already demanding he move. He was accused if steeling money and when they caught the real person, they didn't even apologize to him .My son isn't an angel but when someone is blamed over and over for things it causes self-esteem issues which causes depression. To be honest, he is doing much better on his own.

This place is awful! Donna called me telling me that my mother took all of her money that was supposed to be for her rent and spent it at Walmart...I asked how my mother got there and was told that she walked to make a phone call for a cab...my mother has congestive heart failure and does not get around very well with her walker. I also thought it sounded extremely strange that she spent $750 at Walmart. That’s a lot of money to spend there and it would have shown when I went to her room to see if she had any new items in there and I definitely would recognize any new items since I go shopping for her since she DOESN’T GET AROUND WELL!!! The only thing New was a scarf that her friend gave her. I was also told that she hadn’t been given her insulin for over a week and that when she was accused of “spending her rent money” they put an eviction sign up on her door for all of the other residents to see, how humiliating... one of the final times that I went there while she was living there I noticed that there was feces dried onto the toilets which was pretty nasty. Turns out that HCC ended up getting my mom’s check for her rent so as you probably already picked up earlier on that she was wrongfully accused for something she didn’t do. After this situation got resolved I got another phone call from Donna saying that my mom was refusing to go to her primary doctor to get wound care for her diabetic ulcer when they weren’t doing their part to get her set up with a new primary care physician so the easiest way to solve this was to apparently “pawn” my mother off on the Bellevue Med Center, so essentially she was left homeless while HCC left the hospital to figure out what to do with her because they refused to take her back. I tried reaching out to Dave to speak with him about my concerns and got completely ignored. This is not acceptable! Take care of your residents! They are the ones keeping you in business! Oh, I forgot to mention that HCC blocked me from their business page. I only know this because I liked their page and was going to write a review but POOF, it disappeared and now it’s back again. My guess is that they got scared that I would open my mouth. So I’m just going to spread the word via yelp, google, my 15,000 Instagram followers, my 5,000 Facebook friends and my good friends at channel 3 news and NRG media because you see, the public needs to know about these concerns!

I have personally witnessed "residents" trespassing, unable to return home and urinating on themselves, fighting in the parking lot screaming about having sex inside the facility, throwing things at people and vehicles in the front of the building, numerous visits from local police. Owner has failed to address his "promise" in the Fremont Tribune 8/9/17 : “We do not take sexual or violent offenders. We do a profile on every one of our clients, because we serve as a protector of our neighborhood and protector of our residents,” Campbell said. Yet as of September 2017, a sex offender is registered at Hope Cooperative Care.
