Re: House of Peace In December 2021 it became necessary to move my father to a memory care facility. Based on excellent reviews and a long, solid history we chose a well maintained 48 bed facility. Over the next 3 1/2 years and following a change of ownership that facility unfortunately declined and ultimately became unsafe. Our family began a search for a new residence including tours of several facilities including The House of Peace. As soon as we toured we immediately sensed we had found something special. We were impressed by the small six bed size, the homey feel and by Tracie and Ramona. Both were very helpful in the transition helping further assure us we had made the right choice. My father has been there almost 4 months now and we are so happy with our decision. The House of Peace has truly been a blessing for my father and our family. As is typical with Alzheimers there are changes and declines. As my father has experienced them the staff at House of Peace has been extremely flexible and adaptive to my fathers changing needs. They have provided timely counseling, guidance and suggestions all along the way. All their input has been right on mark. When my Dad moved first moved in I found the improvements from the larger facility almost hard to believe. The neatly folded and put away laundry, the cleanliness of not only the rooms but also of my father, the daily changes of clothes and the every day tidiness of his bed. All those were striking improvements. Conversations with other House of Peace family members indicate they share our sentiments. In recent discussions with outside providers they have told me House of Peace is the best facility they have ever worked in and tell me how fortunate I am to have my father there. I could not agree more. I was referred to House of Peace by another Alzheimers family. I often think of how blessed I was to have gotten that referral. Every day I am thankful for the care my dad receives and the peace of mind House of Peace has provided our family. Steve Monroe

Moving our Mom to House of Peace was the best thing we’ve done in the 5+ years she’s needed additional care. The personalized attention she, and we her children, receive surpasses all of our previous experiences in her 3 former living situations. We only wish we had found them sooner! The relief we feel knowing how well she is being cared for is immeasurable. We are forever grateful to the superior, supportive staff for their care and love demonstrated to our family!

The name alone embodies what my mom experienced while receiving care at the House of Peace Family Care Home. When I picked her up, she was sitting comfortably and to my amazement, she did not want to leave. The House of Peace is a caregiver’s and loved one’s hidden treasure. I left my mom for a few days of respite being confident she was going to be taken care of with excellence, fed well and engaged in activities to stimulate her mind and body while encouraging her independence. My mom was made to feel she was truly at home. The facility is nestled in a quiet neighborhood, kept extremely clean and the staff truly cares about their clients. The entire atmosphere exudes serenity. The overall experience gave me a tremendous sense of support and invaluable peace of mind…Exactly what’s needed in this season of our lives. If you are looking for an extension of your home for your loved one, look no further, you found it!
