It is with great pleasure that I have had the experience of working with Gail Kinney. She has always done an exceptional job of responding to my needs with a positive manner. She always addresses my questions with a can do attitude and finds a resolution to any given problem. It is a relief to know she is there when ever I need her at any given time. After visiting 3 local communities to consider for my parents to move into, our family chose Riverwalk Village! The facilities are impeccable (delicious food), the staff are friendly and professional, and they communicate expertly to make it easier to understand all the complexities of a huge life change like this.

For months I've been drafting in my head a review of my experience with Gail Kinney and so many of the Riverwalk Village community; moving my mom from our childhood home to her "next best move" to The House of the Good Shephard's Riverwalk Village. From start to finish its been like a feel-good, movie script of a story. Gail has been consistently supportive, directing with love, compassion and expertise as we worked through the decision with my mom that would enhance the quality of her life in the ways we would best dream of. Our relationship began with my casual inquiry before choosing another place "Oh your mom doesnt sound like assistive living material". Boy was she right, but it would take months of convincing mom to agree. Those months were met with welcomes to come anytime and invitations to both big and small events so Mom could get a feel for what it would be like to call this her home. I knew she would be the "Bell of the ball" once here and six months after that initial phone call, Mom moved in to the biggest upgrade to her lifestyle we could imagine! Her new place is half the size of her old home but spacious and beautiful: a fancy, full kitchen, wonderful bathroom and terrific views out her livingroom and bedroom windows. Mom is the bell of the ball. Once sedentary, she attends exercise and enrichment classes, hangs with her new freinds after dinner and signs up for trips and adventures. She sits and chats on the balcony overlooking the river and attends neighbor meetings. And Gail and team have been with us through it all. Her interest in my Mom's success is genuine and continues to this day! I have called on her for occasional support and Gail willingly guides our needs. HOTGS is more than a dream come true and has enriched my Mom's life in both measurable and immerasurable ways. I am so grateful. I have so many good things to say about Riverwalk Village. My parents just moved there a couple of days ago. I worked with Gail through the whole process of getting the ideal apartment for them. She’s extremely helpful, patient and kind. It was a pleasure dealing with her. I went on a couple of tours of independent living communities in the area and nothing compares to Riverwalk. I know my parents are in the best place for them!

We can’t say enough wonderful things about Riverwalk Village and the incredible care we received from Gail Kinney during our journey. From the very first conversation, Gail was not only knowledgeable and responsive, but also genuinely kind and supportive. She took the time to answer every question, walk us through the process, and made sure my parents felt confident and cared for every step of the way. Laura Keane’s initial tour was incredible and we knew we were in the right place. Now that my parents are settled into their independent living apartments, they are truly thriving. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a great balance of privacy and community. They’ve enjoyed making new friends, taking part in the many engaging activities, and especially love the beautiful, natural surroundings—it’s such a peaceful and rejuvenating setting. The entire staff has been attentive and compassionate, creating a sense of home that has given our whole family peace of mind. We are so grateful to Gail for guiding us with such thoughtfulness and to everyone at Riverwalk for helping make this transition such a positive one. Highly recommend!!!
