A Heartfelt Thank You to Villa Bernardo My mother spent just over a year at Villa Bernardo before she passed, and I can say without hesitation that this facility was a blessing—not only for her, but for our entire family. The peaceful setting and clean, spacious rooms created a comforting environment, but what truly sets Villa Bernardo apart is the staff. The staff at Villa Bernardo are clearly some of the most amazing, compassionate and caring people in the industry. Despite my mother’s severe mental decline, the staff consistently treated her with dignity and respect. Even when communication was difficult, it was clear that she had formed deep, meaningful connections with her caregivers. Their compassion was evident in every interaction. My father visited nearly every day and over time developed very close relationships with the staff. Their kindness extended to him as well, making a difficult time much more bearable. We toured several facilities before finding Villa Bernardo, and I can say that without a doubt this is a truly unique place staffed by the best people in the industry. If you’re looking for a loving, respectful, and professional environment for an ailing family member, I wholeheartedly recommend Villa Bernardo. They gave our family peace of mind and gave my mother the love and care she so deserved.

My Mom spent her final weeks at Villa Bernardo. The staff was always kind, compassionate and accommodating to her as well as to me. Not only did they make her feel at home but me as well whenever I would visit. The facility is located in a quiet semi-rural/residential setting. The rooms are very spacious and each has a wide door to the outside.

My mother, who is 101 in years, was moved into Villa Bernardo in September of 2022 after a bad fall. From the onset Villa Bernardo staff cared for her in a compassionate and loving manner. During January of 2023 there was an ownership change and employees who had left the facility encouraged me to remove my mother due to their belief the new owner/staff would not treat her as well. Instead of listening to them I did my due diligence and gave them a chance. The new staff has been absolutely awesome. The new owner, Mr. Chen has always been available and truly listens to me when we are discussing my mother's care. I could not be more happy with the continued care and love that has been shown to my mother. The facility is well kept and does not have that cramped in feel that I noticed with some of the other places I visited. The food is good and my mom's room is spacious and well designed. I would highly recommend Villa Bernardo.
