My Father-In-Law lived there for almost a year. Adele and the staff took very good care of him and he thrived there. The food was home cooked and the home always felt comfortable. His wife visited him almost every day and my wife at least 4 times a week. They were happy with his care and the other residents seemed happy. Maybe the review from three years ago motivated them to adjust how they cared for their residents. The price was reasonable, as far as board and cares go.

Owner Florence, said my mom could pay for first month on trial basis, if not happy she would pro-rate and refund money for leaving early if home didn’t work out. Refused refund of last 5 days when I brought mom home due to safety issues. They didn’t refrigerate flats of eggs for over 3 hours in heat. I complained, told Adele they can transmit salmonella if not refrigerated properly. Argued with me. Said they always leave them out. Adele’s daughter (family of 5, with 3 children) came to Orchid Board and Care facility at 5 pm for a family BBQ party one weekend un-masked with Covid rising. They wandered through home with my 89 year old mother finishing her dinner un protected, vulnerable to Covid. Called both Adele and Florence owners to speak with them several times about concerns. Would not answer my call. Said a resident was using their phones. Feed residents cheap frozen 89 cent meals heated and fed in microwave container. Do not turn on air when hot out. House frequently 85 degrees or more. Be aware!
