After visiting at least 5 other facilities before choosing the Ilima, I can say with certainty that the Ilima is the MOST FRIENDLY community of all we have experienced. While some of them had larger facilities, and others had gourmet food, NONE of them had both friendly staff and residents! The Ilima does not feel like a High Rise, High Dollar Condominium, but more like a HOME. While it may not be the right place for everyone...It is the right place for my parents.

Ilima is a home away from home. Staff very friendly and helpful, always pleasant, where everyone knows your name! Many activities for your enjoyment all in a very pleasant setting.

Staff is always friendly and courteous. I love how they know where all the residents are. As we walked through the door, the person at the reception desk told us exactly where my parents were... in the dining room. I like that they remember which family belongs to which residents. Reassuring to know how well the staff knows and connects with each visitor.

We visited here last week to see my aunt and uncle who lived there. What a beautiful place. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The safety is excellent both for the patient as well as for visitors coming in and out. The food was very good. We met some of the residents there. There is an outdoor lanai that overlooks the hotel we stayed in and it is literally right across the street from there. They have great accommodations, activities for the residents, staff security, and what a wonderful location!!

Ilima at Leihano is the nicest elder care facility I have ever seen. The facility is clean and well appointed, and the staff go out of their way to be friendly and engaging. I am extremely pleased with the value for the cost of living at Ilima. I am a nurse practitioner and former nurse's aide, and have high standards for my stepfather's care, so these comments say a lot.
