INN AT OLENTANGY TRAIL THE

There are many nice things about the Inn at Olentangy Trail. The staff is always pleasant, call her by name and know her as a person. The housekeeping staff has gone out of her way to meet her individual needs. The facility is always kept in tip top shape. Repairs are made timely. The activities director is outstanding in the variety of things to do and the continuous invitation to everyone to participate. I also appreciate the seasonal decor and family events. But primarily, I appreciate the nurses and aids for their prompt response to my mom‘s needs. They are caring and efficient and I feel they work as a team so care has been continuous.

My parents have been at The Inn at Olentangy Trail for about a year now, one in assisted living and the other in memory care, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the care they receive. The staff is consistently kind, patient, and genuinely invested in the well‑being of their residents. Some will go out of their way to help. They take the time to get to know my parents as individuals, not just as people who need support, and that makes all the difference. Both of my parents have settled in well and truly like living there. It gives our family real peace of mind knowing they’re in a place where people care about them.

Overall I’m pleased with my mom’s care. Nurses and aides appear to be attentive and knowledgeable of her needs. They communicate concerns in a timely manner. I would say the meals are average compared to home cooking but no comparison to other facilities she’s been in for rehab. She has a good number of choices and she has no complaints with meals (which is really saying a lot). They look well prepared. Servers are young people and I see many residents love interacting with them. I like the way the facility is decorated for each holiday/season. I would say the only area where I would wish for better is room upkeep. The floor might need to be vacuumed more often but that’s so minor when you compare the problems in other places. There are a lot of activities for residents (although I don’t know how often my mom participates in group activities/outings). I do always love watching how the staff in general interacts with residents. It was the first thing I noticed when visiting each of the Inns. I would not choose any other place for the care and keeping of my mom. Thank you to all!

When my family member moved into Olentangy Trail 3 years ago, she was made to feel so welcome by all the staff that right away we knew she was in a caring place. Since then, we have come to know the many doctors, nurses, aids, administrators, maintenance, food and service staff very well, and consider them to be our friends. Through all her many aging and health issues, they have proven to be people who truly care about giving her the best care possible. The medical staff are always willing to help with our questions and special health challenges. So much effort is put into making life at Olentangy Trail interesting, fun, sociable, healthy and warm. Because life is never perfect, whenever something comes up that could be addressed, someone is there to listen and help make things better. Our family is glad our loved one is in good hands when we are not there and I believe she feels the same way.

My loved one moved here about 6 months ago and loves it! The staff are super friendly and caring & very responsive to her needs. The facility is very clean and well taken care of. She loves the food. The nursing staff are very good at communicating with regards to her care. They have a wonderful activities director and lots of things to keep residents engaged. I can’t think of anything negative to say about The Inn at Olentangy.
