After 4 years there, this is a hard review to write, and probably unnecessary since it's been sold to Bella Point. The staff was very caring, but it always felt like a ghost town- residents were only occasionally out with each other, staff always seemed overworked, very few regular staff. For the patient care part, my father in law was generally physically well cared for, but it often felt as if there was just no life to the place. It was also *extremely expensive* (we were forced into private pay due to some complex regulations). We have just recently moved him to Milbridge, and the welcome was 1000% better. Hopefully all the press attention on the plight of the residents when it closed will lead to some meaningful changes in how we take care of our own here in Maine.

They took excellent care of my father, from the medical side to therapy, to nursing. Everything was immaculately clean and you could tell that people took pride in their work.

Failed to discharge a completely disabled patient to a safe environment... patient was dropped off in his yard with no one available to care for him...he could not transfer himself to do anything but he tried and ended up on the floor all night. Police and ambulance had to intervene...good job, not, on decision making by administration.
