I've been in the senior living industry for over 10 years and quick hospital move-ins can be tough. The team at Ivy Golden Gate went above and beyond for my client, treating them like family. Suzanne, the sales director, even went to their home to help pack and transfer medications - a level of service you don't always come accross. It's always a pleasure working with a community I can count on.

Update: Visited over the weekend and Quin helped out with directions navigating the doc and was very kind especially for being new and really appreciated it. Stop by to visit our aunt who's been there for quite a few years. I must say the coffee served tasted delicious. Everyone who worked there was really nice, empathetic and helpful this makes us feel better our aunt is in good hands for the money she spends every month.

I had a friend who lived for the last 5 years at The Ivy. While it started out nice, when she didn’t need much help, the more help my friend needed the worse it got. The individual caregivers were wonderful, but management, the nurses, and med techs were impossible to work with. If you are looking for a facility for a loved one, and do not live close by to handle day to day needs - Do NOT move them into this facility.

Since we have moved our family member into this facility in 2018/2019, it has been a nightmare trying to coordinate her care or have the appropriate supportive services that we had hoped she would be provided (as they had informed us she would have if she became a resident there). She pays close to 5 figures a month to be housed there for support, and we get calls to help with everything, including picking up medications, driving her to appointments, etc, when most of us are working in-person full time jobs or are elderly and cannot assist. They literally call and ask for family members who are in their late 60s and 70s to help bring her to appointments or drive 3-4 hour round trip routes to help with meds and appointments. There is constant pressure for us to essentially do their job that we had hoped placing her there would provide the actual support for. A number of family members have moved out of the area and are still getting calls to pick her up or pick up her meds even after informing them of the location change. Power of attorney information is also inaccurate there as well. We've called to escalate to leadership, and was told to only leave a voice message, haven't received a call back yet at this time.

To start off the reason I give it 4 stars is because you are the fifth star. This place is amazing and it is because of the people here. It begins with Ashley Clarke. She through her patience caring and understanding made the transition for my aunt possible. Change is hard for the elderly and for us, we need someone we can really trust with the care of our loved ones. Once in you get the pleasure of meeting Katherine. An old friend of mine recommended Cypress, because of Katherine and the experience he and his mother had with her. In a word Katherine is like family. From the front desk to the food servers I see caring for the residents here. I don't think I could have made a better decision for the care of my aunt. This is not a place to park someone. this is an opportunity to stay involved and make a new home for your loved one. Be the fifth star.
