I’m so disappointed to have to write this review but hoping it helps others. We moved my parent into the lodge a few years ago and it was good, new and the staff were great. Unfortunately, things have gone down in terms of staff interactions, concern for residents, food quality and overall experience - since Ivy Park took over. Their staff are rude, don’t seem to have great consideration for residents and it seems to be all about money. It’s overpriced for what you get. Compared to other residential living places - they don’t have ample outdoor space for residents to use, and as a result it can feel prison-like for residents (as someone above mentioned). It does not make me feel good to say this but look elsewhere.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had such a positive experience working with Mac McKissack at Ivy Park in Vallejo. Mac is an incredibly compassionate and thoughtful coordinator, especially when it comes to supporting families dealing with dementia. From the very beginning, he took the time to really listen to our concerns, answer our many questions, and explain what to expect in a way that felt reassuring instead of overwhelming. He clearly understands the challenges that come with dementia and approached every conversation with patience, empathy, and kindness. Mac was always responsive, honest, and supportive, never making us feel rushed or like just another family passing through. He helped us navigate a really emotional and confusing time and made sure that our loved one’s needs—and our family’s needs—were truly understood. I’m very grateful for Mac’s guidance and heart. If you are looking for assisted living support for a loved one with dementia, I highly recommend reaching out to Mac at Ivy Park in Vallejo.

Food is substanderd !!!!!!! Ants are everywhere ! They lock the main entance doors at 5pm !!!!!!!!!!!! They don't seem to care about their residendts (Vast majority of us are not only senior citizens, but many of us are in wheel chairs or otherwise handicaped) ! This results in a lot of us having to walk, or wheel ourselves, around this HUGE building. Some have to use their "walkers"! The rank and file employees are great !!! The Lodge has a management problem? They appear to be guided by $$$$$$$ rather than Residents' needs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Edited review : (wish it were an additional review), so their STAR rating would go down more to better represent the NEGATIVES about this horrible place. NOTE: The residents (inmates) are mostly great people; as are most the working level staff. Managers, ??? Policies, ??? If my wife and I suffer consequences from this review, so be it! It's been over an hour since I reported to the Front Desk that the Carbonmonoxcide/FIRE alarm was going off ! In my follow-up call, she said she had reported this to "Maintenace"! Look Elsewhere !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
