My spouse whom I will call Beth has been a resident for half a year following a debilitating stroke; she lives in Memory Care at Ivy Park/Seal Beach. Two days ago when I arrived, I found her on the floor in some distress and unable to help herself. Caregivers responded quickly to begin helping, but real action arrived when Tami Ojwang, Executive Director, came on the seen. Without hesitation or negative word, she and Irene, Director of Memory Care, calmly collected Beth by way of the Hoyer Lift and transferred her to a waiting, warm shower while I laid out fresh clothing. In a matter of minutes, order was restored, Beth's equanimity had returned, and she and I headed out to a nice dinner in the main dining room. I remain grateful to and proud of the professional skills that Tami and Irene exhibited: they had confidently taken the matter in hand, restored Beth's dignity, and made me feel as if the world was again turning on its axis.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Ivy Park Seal Beach from the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. The Directors, Care Coordinator and Caregivers at Ivy Park Seal Beach truly stand out. They are not only professional but also genuinely caring. During my visit, I observed several interactions between staff and residents, and it was heartwarming to see the kindness and patience they exhibited. The caregivers are attentive and take the time to engage with the residents, ensuring that their needs are met with compassion. While no place is perfect, I believe Ivy Park Seal Beach does an excellent job of providing a supportive and nurturing environment for its residents. The combination of compassionate staff, comfortable facilities, and engaging activities makes it a great choice for anyone seeking assisted living options. If you’re considering assisted living for yourself or a loved one, I highly recommend Ivy Park Seal Beach. It’s a place where residents can thrive and feel at home.

I am so grateful to have found such a beautiful and caring home for my mom. From the moment we walked in, I was impressed by the warmth and serenity of the community. The entire facility is not only pristine but also smells wonderfully fresh, which immediately made us feel at ease. The atmosphere here is so welcoming, with beautiful gardens and spacious common areas that create a sense of calm and comfort. The true standout, however, has been the care provided by Sandra McKeon, the Resident Care Director. Sandra’s dedication to the residents is truly exceptional. She goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone feels seen, valued, and well taken care of. Her professionalism and compassion are evident in every interaction, and I’ve seen firsthand how she takes the time to know each resident personally. She is always available for questions or concerns, and it’s clear that she truly cares about the well-being of my mom and the other residents. I couldn’t ask for a better place for my mom to live. It’s a community that genuinely feels like home, and I am so grateful for Sandra and the entire team who make it such a wonderful environment.

If you love your loved one, don’t sent them here. This place is terrible, I can’t express this enough. Our family’s experience was extremely heartbreaking. What they put my loved one through was insane and I wish nobody else has to experience what we did. Don’t send your loved one here!!

My 101-year-old mother has been here for almost two years, and I can’t say enough good things about the wonderful staff. Not only do they all greet her by name when they pass by, but they also know her as an individual. They know her preferred schedule, her likes and dislikes, and the other little things that are part of her personality. I like to take a look at the lunch and dinner menus when I visit, and I’m always impressed that there is little to no repetition in the daily specials. They have different activities throughout the day, and the residents can socialize as much or as little as they want. Of course, the most important thing is knowing that she is safe, and in the good hands of a caring and professional staff.
