Unless your elder can see or walk, I wouldn’t put them here. My wheelchair bound mother had to wait sometimes upwards around 45 min to be toileted as an example where she would call me at home and I would contact the front desk. She’s done that several times. I’ve witnessed rude, short, and dismissive behaviors amongst staff and directors. Food was cold and never warmed, they come in put it in the counter and leave. Sometimes they would forget to put her to bed and she would call me still in her chair at midnight. The price of $9,500 a month is criminal. DO NOT trust their doctors I promise you. I’ve told people on tour to turn around. It is not worth what you’ll pay. It’s a business and that is all they provide, a business. They’re not here for us, it’s all about the money. You’ll buy the aesthetic’s not the care and there’s a lot of sweet talk going on. They’ll still fill up their beds like anywhere else and will probably continue too and that’s unfortunate for our elderly. You don’t always get what you pay for so good luck

I want to share my experience with Ivy Park at Simi Valley. Recently I went to visit the memory care for my wonderful, sweet husband of 40 years. My husband has Alzheimer’s disease for over 5 years. I knew I had to do something but I couldn’t bring myself to do anything. Elizabeth met with me. What a kind, compassionate human being. She showed me along Vanat, and Dina what a loving, caring community Ivy Park is. They listened to me and heard me. My husband has now been in memory care for 2 and a half weeks. He is doing well, making friends and adjusting in this new environment. One of the things that makes Ivy Park special is that they listen to my husband and everyone in the community. All the staff are kind and always have a genuine smile . I know my husband is safe, liked and is shown respect as the great gentleman that he is. I completely trust Ivy Park at Simi Valley. I feel lucky for both my husband and I. My husband loves nature, and Ivy Park at Simi Valley is surrounded by beautiful mountains and trees, the grounds are lovely. With much gratitude, Janet

My mom has lived at Ivy Park for over a year now, and the staff and facility have been wonderful. The toughest decision we faced was moving her from the home she had lived in for many years into an assisted living facility. Although it was difficult at first, she now loves it and has thrived at Ivy Park because of the incredible staff and, most importantly, Lea, the director. It pains me to write this review, however. In the last few months, the amazing staff have left one by one. While at first it didn’t seem like a big deal, gradually, those who made the facility feel like family are now mostly gone. What once felt like home now seems, lately, more like a business. My mom, along with many other residents, are deeply concerned. They had grown to love and trust these individuals, and now only a few remain—though I fear they may soon follow. I have tried reaching out to the upper executives without success. It appears that more focus is being placed on executive events than on the residents who live here. I truly hope this reaches the right people, because it is such a shame that so many wonderful team members are gone. Hopefully, they will find great new opportunities, but in the meantime, the residents are left feeling confused and uneasy. Thank you for reading.

My parents have been living in this community for nearly a year and I can’t say enough wonderful things. From the moment we met Amy, we felt her warm heart and kindness and that drew us in. Then we got to meet with Lee, the executive Director and she was so thorough kind and helpful. Finally, we got the opportunity to sit down with Vanna and work alongside her and her amazing team. I have to tell you as a family member dealing with loved ones with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Vanna is by far the best person to oversee such a wonderful program. I see the way she communicates with her staff and how she treats my parents and we can’t think this entire team enough.

Ivy Park at Simi Valley is a fabulous place that will assist your loved one’s to have a wonderful and safe place to live and enrich their lives. Three years ago, my brother had reached a point where he could no longer live alone. I toured all of the assisted living facilities in Simi Valley. None of them could compare with Ivy Park. The detail of the building and the flow of the area, inside and out is flawless. Its bright and airy. Cleanliness is strictly enforced throughout. The residents rooms all have wonderful views of well manicured gardens with comfortable outdoor seating for great conversations. The floor plans are nicely laid out for safety and ease of movement. Professional and well trained staffing give you piece of mind . The medical techs and the service’s they offer are excellent. Unparalleled service in the dining room along with award winning chefs are there for the residents meal requests. Wonderful and interesting menu’s are presented daily . Fabulous planned activities are happening all the time! There is never a dull moment! Something is always going on at Ivy Park. The amenities that are offered would take pages to list! My brother is thriving and has made so many new friends. It’s a relief for my family knowing he is well taken care of, safe and happy. You are treated like family. I highly recommend Ivy Park at Simi Valley. Helen Violette
