Mom’s lived on the Evergreen floor at Ivy for about a year now. Her care has been good, but through recent changes to caregiving staff and the creation of a manager dedicated to resident experience, her care and satisfaction has improved. The one thing that would make an even greater impact would be adding a fourth caregiver to the very hectic PM shift. But that being said, I really appreciate the warmth and attentiveness from the staff of Evergreen - especially from the OGs, Thomas, Kim, Ivon, and Rosario and the newer caregivers like Joy and Alina (who left but I hope will be back). This review by no means excludes those working the other shifts. I’ve just had the most interaction with the people mentioned.

My Father has been a resident for over a year now. Your Caretakers have always been attentive, caring and supportive. At first when he came, he needed quite a bit of care and help. After a few months I was able to ask for him to be re-rated since he was now eating on his own, able to transfer and using his walker. His care cost came down a little which has been a huge help. The experienced staff is a huge reason why he is comfortable at Ivy Park.

We unfortunately had an extremely poor experience with Ivy Park. Our family member (Ivy Park Resident) was 72 with significant memory loss but with complete independence where hygiene and general self-care is concerned. She needs no assistance with bathing or getting dressed but does require a companion when leaving the facility. During her 7 months at Ivy Park, she gained over 20lbs due to poor quality food and virtually no physical activity. Ivy Park places their residents in front of the big screen TV to watch MSNBC for 6-8 hours per day. Ivy Park has a one-size fits all approach towards memory care. Memory care residents are trapped on the third floor for 80% of the day and cannot leave the floor without a dedicated attendant. Their program does not vary between non-verbal inactive residents and high-energy, active residents with memory loss. Our family member was bullied by management so we had to find a less toxic living environment. Management had non interest in hearing our complaints and did not reply to emails, letters, or in-person visits. Residents are purely viewed as profit centers. Our experience at The Village Sherman Oaks has been infinitely better.

My dad lived at Ivy Park Studio City for a little over 5 weeks and has since passed away. He was located on their memory care floor. Overall, our experience was very positive. The caretakers directly involved in my dad’s care were all very kind, capable, responsive and responsible. My dad really liked the staff as well. The private rooms and common areas were clean and the food seemed great. The whole facility is secure and the grounds are very well maintained.

I want to share the wonderful experience my mother and I while she lived at Sunrise Studio City. The staff from GM Shawn, Care manager Clifton and his staff, Jinky, Erica, April and the rest, and the did an excellent job taking care of my mothers medical needs. They followed up with outside care givers and provided additional support when needed. I rarely had to ask for care for my mother, they had already addressed it. When I did it was taken care of right away. The daily care team led by Paloma was wonderful. They made sure my mother was comfortable and all her needs were met. As my mother needed more support in areas I would have been very uncomfortable with I could see that the amazing Sunrise staff just took care of it without me having to ask. The dining was excellent thanks to Chef Roy and service lead Sonia. The concierge staff was always on hand to answer any questions or address any needs. I want to thank all of the staff of Sunrise Studio City for the compassion and care you provided my mother. Thank you.
