Ivy Park Woodland Hills has an amazing care and executive staff who pride themselves on being there 100% for the residents. From the dining room culinary experience to the exercise program to the daily care routines and assistance-this community works together to provide an excellent living experience. The staff are very kind and courteous and respectful of each individual.

Love the atmosphere and the warmth of the staff, it is so calm and relaxing; the lounge music is an awesome touch. The food is outstanding. I highly recommend the homemade cookies. The amenities are top notch the rooms are beautiful and so spacious. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Facility, Amazing Caregivers… but the Worst Management Ever If you’re looking at The Ivy, BE AWARE: while the caregivers here are truly wonderful, the management is another story entirely. When my mom moved in, we were impressed by the nice facility and the kind, patient, and attentive caregivers — especially Nurse Diana, Christina, and Luz. They went above and beyond to make sure my mom was cared for, often texting me personally to check in after each of her falls. Their compassion is the only reason I can say anything positive about this place. Unfortunately, the management — particularly the director, Terri — is the exact opposite. They bring you in with promises of excellent care and transparency, but as soon as the opportunity arises, they nickel-and-dime you for everything. In less than a year, my mom’s monthly fees literally doubled, reaching over $12,000. During her time there, my mom fell three times, breaking four bones, which led to three hospital visits and months in rehab. When she finally returned, the care charges were so inflated that she could no longer afford to stay. And not once — not a single time — did the director ever call to check up on my mom after her falls or hospitalizations. She relied entirely on what others told her, showing no personal concern for my mother’s well-being. Billing was a nightmare — months of unanswered calls, emails, and texts. Terri wouldn’t provide an itemized bill, and it wasn’t until we refused to pay without clarification that she finally responded. Even reaching out to the corporate team went nowhere; their only reply was that Terri would contact me (which she didn’t for months). To make matters worse, I received almost daily calls from them with “concerns,” and each time I saw their number on my phone, I felt a pit in my stomach. Isn’t that what we’re paying them to manage? Instead, it felt like they were constantly shifting problems back onto me. For The Ivy, it’s painfully clear — it’s all about money, not people. The caregivers deserve the highest praise, but the management’s behavior is inhumane and unprofessional. If you’re considering this facility, know that while your loved one may be in good hands with the care staff, the administration will drain your wallet and your patience. Now that my mom is in a board-and-care home, we get the same (if not better) level of care for half the price — with no stress and no games.

My Father has been a resident of Ivy Park/Sunrise for nearly 3 years. The staff there has become a part of our family. They are kind and compassionate, not only thinking of my father's needs but also conscious of what me and my brother need from them. They are communicative and available. My father's safety is never in question. We know he is in good hands. We are grateful for all of his special caregivers. They have helped transition our dad to the new phase of his life seamlessly.

Sunrise of Woodland Hills, has been a true god-send for my loved one. My sister isn’t the typical resident, she has Huntington’s disease, a rare progressive neurological disease. The staff there has been great in helping us ( the family) and most importantly, my sister, navigate and deal with some of the day-to-day challenges associated with managing her unique needs. From the new Executive Director to the front desk staff and ALL the staff (and especially the Care team!) BY FAR are Sunrise’s greatest assets! The facility itself has a warm and welcoming vibe and the place is really homey and clean. The food has been great too. We like the layout of the rooms as well. But it’s the people, the staff, at Sunrise that make this journey we face as a family more manageable.
