IVY PARK OF BELMONT

After my mom had a bad fall and had to go to skilled nursing, we were no longer able to take care of her at home any longer and had to find an alternative in a hurry. I am forever grateful to Sunrise of Belmont for taking care of everything in a short time! It isn't an easy adjustment moving from your home to assisted living but thanks to the great environment at Sunrise, mom took the transition very well. Although we later moved her to be closer to family, I haven't found caregivers with the level of initiative that Jackie, Maria and the others at Sunrise show daily. Sunrise also did a great job coordinating with doctors, pharmacies, and insurance so that after the first week or two I rarely ever had to get involved in that side of things, which is a huge relief--also not something I find to be quite as good at other facilities. Just an exceptionally well-run and well-staffed assisted living facility!

My mother moved to Sunrise at the age of 91. She has told me several times that it was the best decision she ever made. She loves the staff, and they seem to love her right back! She is very social and has enjoyed the movies, games and activities Sunrise has to offer. I'm happy to know they make sure she comes to the dining room and check on her if she hasn't shown up at her regular times. It has been a great location for her. We are very thankful! A special thank you to the dining room staff who she enjoys daily. :) (Mind you, her adult life was devoted to helping seniors with advocacy whether it be with health insurance, housing, etc. She knows what she's talking about.)

We moved my mother-in-law to Sunrise of Belmont in November of 2021. Since she has been living there we have been very impressed with the level of care she has been receiving. The caregivers and nurses have been wonderful. She is in the assisted living part. The food and menu choices are also very nice. The facility is unite clean, comfortable and welcoming. The management has been lovely to work with, even purchasing a beautiful mahjong set so we could play with her and teach others as well.

My family and I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Sunrise of Belmont. Both our mother and father lived there and enjoyed the upbeat atmosphere and the kindness of the caregivers and staff. The apartments are very comfortable and the building is clean and well maintained. Both of our parents enjoyed the food and the social interaction in the dining room, as well as the frequent activities for the residents. Towards the end of his life our father needed round the clock care and the compassion and attention he received at Sunrise were hugely appreciated by all of our family. Our mother has dementia but was able to live in assisted living (instead of the memory care neighborhood) because of the patience of the caregivers and their willingness to point her in the right direction when she needed help. Thank you Sunrise!

Sunrise of Belmont was warm and friendly. The facility layout was easy for my grandpa to navigate. During our tour, I did not feel like we were at a dealership being pushed to buy. Gillian was very personable, genuine and helpful. The residents seemed happy. My grandpa even commented that they looked comfortable like they were home. Most importantly, it was nice to see the staff engage with the seniors, joking and laughing like they were members of their own family.
