If you are in search of a good home care agency, look no further. Finding home care for a parent with Alzheimers can be very stressful but James, the owner, is kind, compassionate, and goes above and beyond for the patient and the family. He is always available for questions, responsive to concerns, and proactive about providing updates whenever any issues arise. The caregivers have mostly been great. It's a little bit of trial and error finding a caretaker that a good fit for someone with dementia, especially when first starting home care. James worked closely with us throughout that process and was committed to making sure we found caregivers who were a good match. I highly recommend Ace Home Care!

I have been using the caregivers from Ace Home Care for over a year now to provide care to my husband who is also receiving Hospice care. I can't begin to express my gratitude for James and Olivia as the owners of Ace and to the caregiving team they they have provided for my husband. My husband was suffering from end stages Parkinson's Disease and Lewy-Body Dementia. On the recommendation of a good friend, I hired Ace Home Care to provide caregivers for us. I started with 8 hours a day, quickly went to 20 hours a day, and finally to round-the-clock care. We had 5 different caregivers covering the shifts. While each of these women were very different in age, experience and background . . . they all had the "right stuff" - patience and empathy and compassion. Dementia is a terrible disease and can be frightening to a lot of people--even to me--it was awful to watch my husband of 50 years be someone I didn't even recognize. I was especially impressed with the caregivers' ability to understand and handle his dementia as it could often be overwhelming. Sometimes, his agitation was extreme, and even aggressive, and yet these women never let themselves get rattled and always remained patient and kept control of the situation. They were extremely kind and took their time to redirect him to more positive behavior. The caregivers took my husband out every day for two or three walks around our cul-de-sac, engaged him in conversation and activities like puzzles, games and foosball when he was more able; helped him eat his meals and gave him his medications. Every day they took their time giving him a nice shower and shaved and groomed him. They helped him dress every morning, handled all his toileting needs like it was no big deal, and got him ready for bed every evening. The caregivers were very dependable--I never worried that they would be late or not show--and when it occasionally did happen, I understood that stuff comes up. James, the owner of Ace, always got the shift covered. I never worried for a second. I knew they would handle whatever came up. It was especially wonderful that I could sleep at night knowing my husband was in capable, confident, caring hands. The caregivers, having had so much experience with other clients, were a wealth of great suggestions for me in dealing with my husband. As my husband's final days were closing in, I was particularly impressed with how confidently they handled him being bed-ridden--giving him long, luxurious bed-baths, shaving and grooming him, lathering him in lotion, and keeping him regularly turned to prevent bedsores. It was beautiful. Their care and compassion was truly impressive. He was treated with love and dignity until the very end. I highly recommend Ace Home Care!

James took the extra effort to understand our situation and provided the corresponding care. Very pleased by his staff. They truly met our needs during this time of change for our folks.
